@@TheMarshmelloKingboth names the result of actions of Joan Baez. Priest when she first drifted from her path and chose a horse who ran the wrong way and much later when the one she could have cooked and sewed and planted flowers for, who could have helped her learn of her Royal ancestry giving a very different understanding of what it means to cook and sew. What gives the heart fire (passion) is what is known as the Spirit’s gift to the body. There is always going to be a risk that will need to be taken. That is what can help you most avoid replacing what is relevant with what is irrelevant, like confusing actual authentic loving sexual encounters with the choice she made of sucking the frozen blue popsicle of Leonard Cohen. You might say that was his famous blue raincoat. In Dali’s paintings he depicts Leonard as “The Great Masturbator” and Jane as the jungle friendly gal with Tarzan by her side. She sometimes being a sweet bee taking Tarzan from flower to flower feeding him the honey that should by law be solely for the Queen. She was not your ordinary bee she was much wilder than you can ever be. Her public story began with Gerry Garcia lamenting the fact that most people just talk about true love but never taking that first step of getting off their asses opening the door and going to the street on her own. In Jane’s case her humility kept her from seeing the significance of her own actions. The process of that first step is displayed well on the cover of Bob’s album Street Legal, by legal he means living outside of the long arm of the law whose only condition is that you remain honest. Joan was very much like that too in the beginning like where you measure time by the singing of wild birds. Like saying it’s 4 in the morning by the sound of the birds. Myself i too knew it was 4 in the morning when a conference of the birds had to reach a United concusses of how to assist a very special bird who came to one laying on a pink bed and giving him the sign that everyone had been looking for on the wings of a dove.

no man, its bbbwhaaa..... what hes trying to tell the band is to distill the sound down. to get minimal but still be viable. get the busy and overlayering out of it. hone it in more like folk or slower blues, yet still keep the electricity in, yet do it w/ accent & haunting sound signature. like lightening more distant but still distinct outside a window seal....the cat was a musical composition sound sharpie.... hes honing mood here sound and texture wise to meet the theme & the way he wanted to deliver it lyrically and voice wise.... what I get here is dylan is sharp and vigilant. He reshaped the sound into the masterpiece it is. done in a different rhythm, cadence & over layered music background wouldve greatly diluted its power.... thanks for posting this. its testament to how creative this guy was in his prime.

Fabulous! Still the Outtakes King Swingin! 😎 My absolute favorite version I can't ever hear anymore tho. It used to be up on Vimeo with an amateur video. I think it's Take 7. It's the fast rocking version that's about 5 minutes I think. It's similar to the "official" video by Dylan's people with the trippy images... BUT it has all the verses. Including my favorite verse with "inside the museums...& jewels and binoculars" It's literally the greatest thing. copyrighted I guess.

This is an extremely difficult song to get right. The subtle and unusual rythmn of the lyrics defeat even himself most of the time. The slow and highly enunciated acoustic performances of the 1966 concerts work better because he takes his time and is not dependent on keeping in synch with a band. It was 30 years later he started to re-work it with his familiar band, and after many performances together they finally nailed it in 2000 - I'm thinking especially of the Portsmouth concert of that year.

@@erikraude146 I understand what you mean. Some of his music from this time Bob's vocals were less emphasized or slurred in a way...not saying it's because he was drugged but mellow or relaxed. 😊
@erikraude1465 жыл бұрын
@@brittbeck9158 I’m sorry that I couldn’t answer before but I had an exam at University. Getting back to what I wrote about Dylan, I have to make some essential remarks: First: Dylan has never exactly sung an album as the previous or the successive one. It’s absolutely physiologic that a singer can change his singing during his career (and I’m referring to the tonality, the pronouncing, the emphasis on some specific sounds… and so on). But Dylan, from this point of view, is really changeable. Second: I’m a Dylan fan and I’m disagree with those who claim he can’t sing or he has a bad voice. I think the problem is why he decided to sing in a certain way or in another (for example the choice of emphasizing certain sounds up to be disturbing). Third: The best Dylan-singer (referring to the tonality and the singing style) is, from my point of view, that of Highway 61 Revisited (Desolation Row, Like a Rolling Stone and, especially, Positively 4th Street). I don’t appreciate the frog-singing style in “Nashville Skyline” but I don’t mind the one of “Blood on the tracks”. Now, if we compare the three albums that belong to the Electric Trilogy: “Bringing it all back home”, generally speaking, draws on the style of the previous one, “Another side of Bob Dylan”, but his voice is less scratchy; in Highway 61 Revisited he shows a different tonality (a lower voice) and he also sings more calmly without emphasizing nothing particular (some song seem to be more spoken than sung); Blonde on blonde draws on Highway 61 Revisited in terms of tonality or tonalities but he sings emphasizing certain sounds or stretching them. This is my idea about the three albums: I don’t want to convince you, it’s my point of you. It’s also well-known that he was on drugs since the tour of 1965 (marijuana) until that one of 1966 (other drugs). Freeze-out is from 1965 session and Vision of Johanna is from 1966 session. I’ve supposed some influences in the singing-style change due to drugs but it’s, just once, an attempt to explain one of his numerous ways of singing. When I say that he was really drugged in 1966, just look at one of his performances (Mr Tambourine man for example). Sorry for the long poem. I hope my English it’s enough clear and correct.
@brittbeck91585 жыл бұрын
Erik Raude I’ll thank you for talking your time and and answer, in a very good way. Your English is brilliant. Your thoughts about Bob’s singing 65/66, are worth a second opinion from me. You got a point. What I/you are tired of is when ppl complaining about his voice. Like it’s legitimately a humans right to jump on Bob. It’s very annoying and unfair. Listen to his voice, when he was on his twenties. He really could sing, and his voice was mature and powerful. You can’t have the same voice when you are 60,70 years, that you had as a boy/ young person. I don’t think marijuana changes your voice to much, but other stuff might. Ok Erik, now we have a understanding of each other I think. Hopefully you agree, Bob is the Greatest artist ever..I don’t just mean singing, I’m thinking of all other things he had done, through the years. His lyrics are way beyond others attempt to write. Have a nice week, Cheers 🥂Britt 💜

You know (you probably don’t), that in the Irish ☘️ language there are THREE ways of knowing? Three different words. Aithne - that’s for knowing people. Fios - is knowing facts, like Ireland is the closest European country to USA. And finally Eolas - which is to be knowledgeable about some particular subject matter, like for example, I know all the best bars in Dublin, or how to knit or crochet, etc. I’ll get back to Visions btw….. x
