Oh man, this brings me right back to when my dad would pick us up after school. Always had CBC on for the drive home, and Jurgen rambling on about cats and all things nonsensical and esoteric. Incredible.

I'm right with you for Jurgen and his show. So entertaining. Until I listened to him, I had no idea that Mozart was actually a door to door salesman who threw in a free sonata, symphony, or whatever manuscript he had had on him with every purchase😃😃

Monday through Friday this and a piano version of Fanfarinette introduced some of the best classical and jazz music hosted by Jurgen Gothe. I remember how, over the years, many other transcriptions and arrangements were used and how he said that the only one he would not use was a bagpipe version. His humour and wit were a gift.

Jurgen Gothe was a fantastic host. He was witty, humorous and entertaining. I'm sorry he passed away but I am thankful he shared his personality with us everyday. Life was just a little bit better because of him.

What's the low bass instrument? An organ? I remember hanging around the radio in the 80s as a little mite and immediately having a deep appreciation for this piece. Plus of course Jurgen Gothe's sublimely comforting voice.
