He owned quite a few.. He had a BMW, A Volvo and a Land Rover, VW, and a Ford Capri prior to this Benz. Why shouldn't he own a vehicle, was he a cave man? He was a buniness man and needed the necessity of vehicles, he had many people in his company Tuff Gong Records and They toured heavily. this wasn't bob's car but his son Ziggy's which he ordered for him while being treated at the clinic of Josef issells in Germany in early 1981. I believe it was originally gold plated but don't know whether or not that is true though I do remember reading about it in a book about bob back in the eighties.
