One of the most powerful songs and lyrics ever written and sung by Bob Marley, its sad how this song has a strong and powerful message, yet people refuse to listen or care. Hence why there's STILL Ambush in the Night, killings and gun violence to this very day! Violence should never be the answer

Real prophet, there'll never be another like him. We need someone like Bob even more in todays day in age. Society is becoming more and more lost in greed, violence and materialism.

As a native of Jamaica, and someone who gives Bob Marley the most supreme respect of all times.I would like to commemorate his life time work and achievements. He has sung songs for the people who can't sing for themselves. He has given voices to the people at the bottom of the food chain. He is an icon, a Jamaican hero, and an introspection to all mankind to give ourselves a moral and ethical thinking about life and humanity..One Love RIP BOB

This song was sang after he was shot in an assassination atempt on his life...his messages are very strong and god sent..2 days after being shot he stood up strong and came out singing again..we all know who wanted him dead right..bob marley was and still is one of the most powerful god sent singers the world has ever seen..JAH BLESS

I feel you man. I even hate when I mention Bob in a conversation about music and they automatically assume that im a pothead. I mean, I used to smoke YEARS AND YEARS AGO! and yes I know thats what Bob did, but thats not why I listen to him!! I listen to him cause of his powerful lyrics and his music just moves me, it moves my soul like no other music can! I love Bob Marley!!!

amazing, heard so much bob, and still every day another of his songes hits me like if it was the first time I listened to it... then just have to play it all day long.. great lyrics indeed... the man was a prophet, taking in account the state of the world and the greedy, mean people that reach power and rule us all, he was a prophet indeed, and the first prophet making great music I think... :) thank "God" for that...

I cannot understand negative comments about BM,without him or his music the world would be full of hypocrits. His music is loved around the world, and the great man will never be forgotten. If it wasnt for cancer, this man would still be recording music. Without good music, what have we got??

I am so sad that i lost the feeling for this song. I still hear it and still know what it means, intellectually, but back in the days when i was young, smoking some and listening to this music. Bob Marley's music was like the key to opening the prison cell that i have been living in my whole life. And if you're born in prison, and everyone you know was born in that prison, then how can anyone even tell? Bob Marley and others have shown me that sooner or later the sun must come out of the dark.

I believe Bob delivers a broader message, here, that violence imposed upon him represents violence imposed by anybody or anything on any one else. Why can we not just coexist?
