just some facts to correct the timeline of this chat.. Marley was in Zimbabwe in April 1980. He didn't visit Ethiopia after Zimbabwe, but was in Ethiopia in 1978. Jah Live wasn't written after Zimbabwe or after the visit to Ethiopia.. Jah Live was written in 1975.

Greetings from Africa I love and Respect bob and christafari However l feel our christafari brother does not have a clear and true understanding of certain concepts. The Rastafarian faith has its foundation in old religions . Orthodox Christianity, Egyptian mysteries and also original Buddhism and Hinduism. That describes also who Jesus was,he was in both Egypt and lndia for his learning. That conversion story is contradictory and lronic. Study the roots of Rastafari faith an offshoot of the Essenes brotherhood. We are all God's,small gods and Selasie was a God too and it's been clear to us that He had a message,and that is what we bother with. Ofcourse not to worship him but be careful how you translate certain issues here

@@joycendungu-nb9ds I have a descent understanding on them, have already been a Rasta and a Pharisee but now I just trust in Christ like the bible say to do. Jesus came in the flesh, as a man, died for all our sins n the cross, was buried but rose again on the third day and whosoever believes in him gets the gift of eternal life. He paid the price for our transgressing of the law, we get his righteousness imputed when we believe on him "and get to go to heaven ina Jesu name...". Not saying you should not do good deeds but those good deeds wont earn you heaven, salvation is a free gift for all who believe on Jesus. Rastafarian religion is New Age (or old mystery religion) sprinkled with Selassie and some ritual orthodoxy on top. It creates pride and self righteous pharisees. That is how i see it. Jesus have dreadlocks... maybe or maybe not, neither you nor I can know this if we're honest... The bible isn't really clear on it, he could have had though. If he did its because of Nazarene reasons not Rastafarian...

@@theservant752 Jesus and his family belonged to the Essenes community. This is one of the old names for the Rastafarian movement. Being a mystic movement it has had many names as per many epochs. Dreadlocks are for mystics. This is a mystic movement ,ancient,tracing it's ancestry to Melchizedek.
