Ziggy Marley is such a nice man, just love him. He always has this genuine humbleness upon him. I remember many years ago when the World Cup was held in South Africa, he made a documentary with some friends. They were touring around on their motorbikes. Of course he got recognized but he was so down to earth. Taking time talking to the people. I really liked his style. I watched the movie, I mean it was absolutely amazing! 💯🇯🇲❤️

Sadly, you can never satisfy people. People find so many negative things to complain about. We finally got a Bob Marley movie and now people still complain. They wanna see more drama, more about his side chicks, complain about the actors not being Jamaican, not telling all his flaws, etc. Look, it's impossible to cover 36 years of one's life in an hour and 40ish minutes of a movie. I'm sure his family wanted to show who he was and his purpose was Rastafarian and the unity of his people. One love and peace. That's who he was. Showing who he had relations with and all that was not the focus. The movie does mention it and that's enough.

I am looking forward to watching this movie. I'd have loved for a local Jamaican to have been casted. After watching Ziggy's interview where he wanted the same thing but felt it more important to have someone that could capture the spirit of Bob and captivate the audience. Therefore, from the people they auditioned Kingsley came out on top. I have to be satisfied with this. Sounds like there is much more story to be told from Bobs earliest days and a bigger opportunity to create a gritty series with the focus on Cedella for a couple of episodes before Bob was conceived up in St. Anne's. How great would that be. Maybe a few local Jamaicans could be casted to play the different ages of Bob with the help of the Marley family

It's a great movie. Started doing some research on Bob and there is so much to learn. Interestingly on his last days Bob converted to Christianity, something that is not talked about by his children. His wife tells that story to one of the members of his back up singers. It makes sense because it is said he always take the Bible to the recording studio and reads it each time before recording. You see a glimpse of this in the movie.. but never expand on it. They keep promoting his early thoughts about Haile Selassie being God but Selassie himself says he is NOT God, he is flesh like everyone else. I guess they need a series to tell his full story.

Great interview, however I am curious if billboard will interview Tom MacDonald and or Ben Shapiro following their number 1 on the hip hop sales chart. Also related to the Marley family, can you do a story on the best female rapper and singer Lauren Hill. She hasn’t been given her dues for Neurotic Society and Consumerism which puts all modern female rap to shame ( ice spice etc) she is just so amazing I can’t believe her later work in the 2010s was heavily overlooked
