Bob Marley owned a home in Miami. He bought it in the late 70s. It is still owned by the Marley family today....

My friends in Philadelphia had a band called the House of Assembly… they were brothers (last name Bailey). When Bob was in Delaware, they used to go to his Mother’s house and jam with him. I saw Bob perform in Philly in 1979, I missed him at Sunsplash in JA (had to come home). Everyone stood on their folding chairs throughout the performance! The audience ranged from the Jamaican elders to young rockers to children. Every age group, color… it was a phenomenon. I am so blessed to have seen him perform. (I also saw Peter Tosh, Dennis Brown, Toots and the Maytals, Third World on other occasions.) Thanks for the tour. Timothy White wrote a great book called “Catch A Fire” about Bob’s life.

I absolutely love Bob Marley! Such an incredible life he lived and influenced so many people. A great humanitarian, songwriter and writes activists in Jamaica. He brought his love of music to the world. I have always wanted to visit his mausoleum in Jamaica but have never had the chance. I'm up in years now, but still rock out to Bob Marley! Thanks Jordan for bringing him and a small slice of his life in America to us!

Hey GM Jord, Bob Marley will always hold a special place in my heart as my Dad always told me the first song that I would sing as a child was "3 little birds", so the first song I ever knew word for word was by Bob Marley, so I guess you could say he birthed my love for music as young as a baby!!

Bob is one of my favorites along with George Harrison. Back in 2013 I bought a special edition of Rolling Stone dedicated to Bob. There was a photo of George visiting Bob backstage at a concert in LA in the mid 70s, very cool. Didn't know Bob had lived in Delaware. Thanks so much Jordan, hope you, Jah and your goal have a great day❤️🌄🐶🌈

I lived at 2323 Tatnall. Played with his sister Pearl. Did a sleep over and also his mother took me to their church picnic. Pearl did the pie eating contest. I remember playing in the alley way. Her father was a sweet man. Her mother was the sweetest. Im surprised you didn’t cover his mothers music store on Market St. Of course she sold Bobs music and a lot of Jamaican music. The park always had kids. We did the free games the councilors offered. Hearns was the grocery store and a corner store called Pickles. Closed on Sundays. Ty for the video. Memories flooded me.

Really, The People that I know still call them dreads, and they are black. 🤔 dreads is short for dreadlocks. That how they say it in America, I don’t know where you’re from. 😂 and sometimes people call them locs too. You need to educate yourself a little more, you sound like you are from a younger generation.

I just wish the gun violence wasn't so rampant. Makes it super hard to enjoy any outside space. We have entire parks that rarely get used. The city has been keeping them clean and repaired but it's no use when families don't feel safe.

In Jamaica the light-skinned people were loved more than the dark-skinned people. The light-skinned people were treated better. So that's probably what it was like in USA but in Jamaica 🇯🇲 the mixed-race people were treated better and most people were and still jealous of them. I know my family is Jamaican and mixed.

Hey Jordan, You were right in my home town. I have passed by his house years ago. Yes, he worked for DuPont and Chrysler. He left such a legacy behind, so many children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, etc. I believe the singer/actor Lauren Hill has a child by one of his grandson's. Mostly all his children are in the music/actibg business. I once worked with a woman who's husband is his first cousin, their mom's were sisters. I'm impressed that you visited Delaware. It has changed very much since Bob Marley's days. Good job.

Your factual accounts of The Rt. Honorable Robert Nesta Marley is incredible. His has other siblings that are part of the upper echelon of society in Jamaica and they disassociated themselves from him. When he became famous that is when we knew there were other Marleys. Incredible man, a modern day Prophet..he left a great legacy behind. He is still revered in Jamaica.🇯🇲❤ His children carries on the tradition. Big up Bob!!💕

Jordon, Thank you as always. Again, the research you put into each episode is both phenomenal & interesting. I really, really appreciate the way you read and give the viewer enough time to read the memorial plaques that different places put up. Some other channels I've noticed may just fleetingly show a sign about someone quickly, leaving the viewer unable to read it. Plaques offer so much pertinent information. Thankyou as always & safe travels for yourself & Sir Jah. Kind regards from Adelaide, South Australia.
