He offended his wife and more importantly the God that he professed his love and commitment to her in front of. I wonder if he ever told her that he was sorry for the hurt he caused her and if he asked for her forgiveness before leaving this earth. The legacy of his children is beautiful and reminds me of Abraham, but his wife could have been their mother as she ended up caring for them anyway.
