After the death of his father. Steve stopped painting and once wanted quit painting all together. He stated that he was in such pain he thought of committing suicide by flipping his car over. I'm glad he is still painting and teaching today.

Speaking of dead things, let's go ahead an put a body floating upside-down over this waterfall. Little brusing on its back there. He's right. We are too hard on ourselves. That's because it's socially acceptable to put ourselves down but not up. To please others. Other people want us down below them. It's shameful to give yourself a compliment. We are told it's conceited, boastful, prideful, all things God hates. That's how we are manipulated. People use religion. I think it's okay to be happy. Putting ourselves down just makes us depressed and miserable. You can be positive and enjoy life without being evil. Enjoy life.

Same. When I saw the thumbnail I thought to myself "well I could use a good laugh", but watching it ended up being rather like a therapy.

I thought it was a young Bob Ross, not at all what I expected. Pretty much the same incredible talent just different delivery of banter. Not too shabby as they used to say.

I never knew Bob’s son painted till I seen the documentary. There were just so many episodes of The Joy of Painting that I had never seen an episode twice for a long time. Wonderful skills. Bob definitely taught me how to paint trees and to paint texture.

Painting is patience and faith. You have to believe something good will come out of it all in the end and work and wait on it
