Bob was such a mensch. When I lived in Los Angeles years ago, I would often see him sitting and reading the paper at Norm’s on Lincoln. Always in the same booth. We’d never talked, but always acknowledged each with a nod as regulars do. I wished I had said something to him one of those times. Oh well. Godspeed, Mr Saget.

Mensch just means human in german. We are all humans.
@patton3032 жыл бұрын
@@Burgerklauer In this case it’s not the High German word we’re using. It’s Yiddish and it means a person with honor and integrity. Figures. There’s always one Luddite who has to shit on a sentiment with his imagined prowess of things. Typical 18-35 shit. Do you think someone who’s cool lives in a refrigerator too? Shinebox getter.

It was beautiful how Craig said that he had a “it’s my grief and I deal with it my way” attitude and that Bob shouldn’t be sorry about the way he deals with his grief. It was just beautiful. And that hug before the commercial. Two guys who currently lost their dads getting over things. It was almost like they were saying okay to be grieve, even if your a guy or a grown-up, it’s okay, and I found that beautiful.
@joesr31 Жыл бұрын
Idk, I could think of many ways of dealing with grief that would be “people’s business”. Getting into fights for example, or drunk driving, or burning things down. I got the sentiment, but what he said wasn’t necessarily true. You can deal with grief your way on the condition that it doesn’t affect other people’s welfare significantly.
