Cool how Bob talking about the "test of time" in '74 which he mentions during the outro montage of the documentary, Long Strange Trip some 40+ odd years later. His quotes on how Jerry influenced him as a musician, mentor and brother was even more heartbreaking after Captain Tripps passed on.. Grateful Dead forever.

That is such great footage and with Sugar Magnolia in the background makes me feel right now laid back and in a lazily high tempo mood.

I love me some Bobby tunes, but his stellar playing for WRS, that captures everything about Bob Weir to me.

ill have to add , that i think he has made it with regards to his ambitions here. Im a musician in my own respect, but for me he is up there with miles davis, stravinsky etc etc...he is one of the finest songwriters ever, and a wonderful singer.... its spiritual...

He was still really young at this point, but I always thought that frizzy haircut aged him quite a bit.

That thing of composing when you have to thrash through a new song...and go through stages where it sounds awful, and wanting a soundproof room, yup.

Weir was a perfect complement to Jerry’s guitar, playing with an original style of how own when it came to rhythm guitar… a little verbally challenged

Is this the studio he built in Mill Valley? He has been in that house that long?
