I've been watching Bob for about 4 years. You about a month, because of Bob. My wife and I were going to RV, bus, whatever when I retired at 67. She passed away in July 2022. I thought if not now, when? In December I loaded my minivan up and drove to Florida, then to Q where I met Bob, and so many other great people. Today I am 64 yo!! I'm in the process of selling everything and will be full time on November 7th. In the next year or so I hope to find my "peace of earth", and thus why I like your channel. Be well, live free, and I hope to see you down the road!

I just started my overland build this past month and am currently moving in the direction of getting offgrid full-time. I believe this is the same guy whom Bob interviewed about buying land and living in a community. I think Bob lives near him as they both have red cinder gravel and a semi? private well. I wish there was a way to find out more and meet pre-communities for people who do want to buy their own property there, but find like minded neighbors to buy adjacent lands. I know you all cannot give out your coordinates or you would be overwhelmed, and probably the land out there is going to shoot out the roof in price, but any ideas on how to approach buying land so one is not isolated?

The corporate world is tuff … I was one those people who made it miserable to kick people out … never thinking it was gona come my day… you have no idea how skimes are dreamed up to get older people out and gone from their jobs … killing their dreams and livelihoods… especially if the sales are down… I lasted thru three companies doing this … then my years came went and young dude got me … I was sent packing at the age of 68 … lots longer then the most … you have no clue how pressure and energy was put out to get your target out… I was good … the corporate ax man… after I was out I had time to realize what I had done… it was wrong

A nomad does not have a home so you have to change your status. A land owner that travels a lot. No a nomad and land owning don't go together. But if you have the money to own a house or land - do it! Great info though! Thanks!

I fear the Nomad Lifestyle is going to soon become targeted by those who want people corralled into "15 minute cities", stacked on top of each other in compartmental living modules. I found Bob on KZbin in 2017 and not long after learned of you Brian through his site.
@thomasseymour4190 Жыл бұрын
Nobody advocating for “15 minute cities” want people “corralled” into those spaces. They’re simply advocating for the possibility of that in North America. Ultimately, nomads and sustainable city advocates want the same thing; a good and happy life surrounded by those we care about and a life less forced into suburban corporate conformity.

There ARE people who want to stop what Nomads are doing. A larger population of nomads IS at some point going to annoy the people who lobby our government to give landlords what they want > Renters (no one is going to be able to own homes = there's going to be landlords). So a logical evolution would be for us to create nomadic cyber communities. Nomads will pool themselves into the position of buying land in the desert(s) and forest(s) in the large unpopulated middle America, but annex a portion of one site to become the homeland. All nomads are welcome to designate this new 'County' annex as their legally registered Domicile and we build a huge voting block. Otherwise, there's going to be "Karens" in our society that will organize to list all our negatives on their Karen society
