​@@DerekHartley Forgive me as it's been like 10 years, but if I remember rightly when they released the SoI movie trailer parody, in the description it said that Shadow of Israphel would be returning soon, and then never did. Plus, we got to see the behind the scenes of that animation that never got finished for episode 43 Honestly though, I hope they don't finish it. I'm sure it would be good, but it wouldn't be able to live up to the hype, not to mention a bunch of their modern audience wouldn't care less about it

I kinda wish they would just post the ending plans to satisfy the fans because I understand its impossible to continue and finish it now. At this point them still keeping it on the shelf is kinda pointless @NillyTheKid makes a great point though, I mean after all part of the charm was that Lewis and Simon were kinda reacting blind / semi-blind to something scripted so they were literally parodying their own adventure and accidentally messing shit up. So they really would have to start with an entirely new storyline and just finish that instead I see two ways it could be "brought back" 1. Is that they just start a new minecraft series and like with SOI out of nowhere reintroduce Israphel (have him in disguise like attacking them again) and then trying to combine their original plans for the ending and episodes leading up to it with new stuff related to the series they were doing. Though this is a very inorganic and rough solution 2. Start something completely new from fresh but following the same 'premise' as SOI. Judging from what I read Hytale sounds a lot like it's literally trying to be the Yogventures kickstarter pitch (i.e Minecraft like survival game but with tools and gamemodes built in to facilitate dynamic long stories which can be customized within the same survival sandbox framework) I'd hinge my bets on Hytale being the SOI revival irregardless of if they actually make it SOI themed (will elaborate later) -Basically, they start a series playing Hytale survival and then it turns out they had a team led by Ben or something make an entirely new adventure using the Hytale tools which hijacks their survival playthrough just like SOI. Bonus points if they involve Boba in the playthrough. And then they basically follow this custom Yog adventure reacting blind and cocking things up Although the reason I'd say it'd be the revival irregardless is because the game's meant to come with its own adventure mode storyline which I'd say already has an Israphel like main villain called Varyn so if they just do a full playthrough of that, i'd be fully satisfied tbh it does look like Hytale's in a bit of development hell but I'm of the mind to not take that as a bad thing

HL3 might, it all depends on the employees at Valve, since they have a completely flat structure. Apparently no one really wanted to make games for a long while, but Half Life Alex has apparently inspired a good number of employees to work on games. Although which games is obv. Completely unknown.

I think the only way i'd want to see them follow it up is to set up some epic final episode using all the tools, mods, and updates that minecraft has had. But trying to use one of the old texture packs and going for the old vibe at the same time. Also if they could both just pretend like nothing has happened and its like a long lost video (unsuccessfully obviously but it be hilarious to see them parady their younger selves) and this one off episode would likely just end in tears for everyone. It wouldn't be underwhelming because the point isn't to be amazing. The point would be to just reminisce. It would 100% get its fair share of criticism, but that wouldn't matter because we would all know what it's really about. ❤ I still doubt it would happen but this is the only way i could see it being successful. Finishing the story doesn't matter. Its all about the FEELS! But yeah I can understand why lewis isn't interested. It could either be an amazing moment or a completely wierd one.
