I am with many who consider the movie rendition of "The Accidental Tourist" to be exceptionally well done. It is clear that the ensemble understood that this was a film that needed to show immense sensitivity and subtle humour. It is a hard balance to achieve, but their talents allowed them to achieve it nonetheless. I am not very familiar with the body of work Geena Davis has created, but it is clear that her reading of the book and trying to understand the nuances of the personality she needed to create through her interpretation a written work paid off well.
