@@stephengarrison8027 not really. Bobby wygant could be a total B. Listen to the entire interview carefully when she tells Swanson, " I don't have much time...". Swanson just looks at her like, really? Don't you know who I was, who I am, Who you are interviewing? She also told Bacall to back off a little for Streisand's sake during the interview that she conducted for The Mirror Has Two Faces. Listen to that one also.

You stole the words right out of my mouth! It’s hard to believe that this wasn’t filmed today. She died in 1983 (I’m not sure when this was filmed). She was extremely informed and very intelligent and thoughtful. I like how she raged against her own industry for the garbage they put out too, and make us question why we want to be emotionally tormented by the films (especially the amount or propaganda in it!).

THIS INTERVIEW IS ABSOLUTELY LEGENDARY!! I'm so JEALOUS!! I was only 4 years old (born in 1976). But, it's sad Ms. Swanson's entire commentary was absolutely poignant. She was born the last year of the 19th Century (1899)....and 80 years old, at the time of this interview. That's crazy. Her perspective on: the degradation of our society/culture....chemicals in our foods.....crimes in New York City ( and cops demoralized, due to the laws favoring criminals ).....the degradation of film with vulgarity and sexual overtones, etc. It's so sad WE all know the events within the 40 years; following this interview. The film was quite intact in its original cans which was earlier distributed to movie houses. Not sure how the collector got it but he likely had it for decades. Anyway, on the DVD they included a very looong ♥️ vocal interview of Gloria Swanson. Practically a monologue. She speaks about Valentino at length.

You'll notice she wore the glove on her right hand only. People used to keep at least one glove on so that they could touch public surfaces and shake hands while gloved. FInd We Will Aways Live In Beverly Hills (try ebay) by Ned Wynn, son of Kennan, and grandson of Ed Wynn. Best thing I ever read about the days. And he was plopped dead center into every scene. At their beginnings. Every single scene. The surf scene, the biker scene, the hippy scene, the guru scene, (Hanging with the Momas and The Papas) the drug scene, definitely the drinking scene from his parents...he even meets Charles Manson. Skis with Nicholson. A wonderful droll self effacing read. And very funny. And yes, Marlena bringing home made cookies over, and Judy singing at the home piano....

Ms. Swanson was wise beyond her time. Listening to her would think this interview was made in the last 14 months. She knew of the shit show we are living through now. She was a true lady, she knew what being a responsible woman and adult should be. Parents have failed miserably. All entities of government have failed and now clearly see them as casualties of the satanic order. I miss this generation of people...the older generation of Ms. SWANSON...many I had the honor and privilege of being reared around 50 years ago. I attribute this to my ability to see the satanic messages the demonic plan of this scamdemic...but sadly a lot of society that are morally and ethically corrupt and unable to see the truth.

If she said it in 1980, then what would have she said now? Sick brains are everywhere now in 2020/2021 especially in music videos and there are loads of nude legs and other body parts on display and not one black stocking to cover this madness 😦

What a nice lady. I've never heard he speak in an interview. I too am appalled by the behaviors in film today. None of it appeals to me. Sex and violence seems to be the order of the day. What she is saying about laws not being enforced is happening today multiplied by the tens of thousands.

Funny she's complaining about modern violence, but Al Capone was a mob boss in the 20's and 30's. Also, both the First and Second World War were fought in her civilized past.
