Amazing how much Christine resembles Maureen McCormick even out of character. She channeled Marcia so perfectly. Both Christine & Jennifer are amazing comediennes.

Great interview!! It's great seeing Ms. Cox as herself, and her and Ms. Taylor basically fangirling over the show and over Ms. Plumb and Ms. McCormick. I hope they've gotten to meet their counterparts at some point since this interview.

"Great interview!!" NOT. Basically, you're equating the thrill of seeing the two actresses as themselves. THAT does not equal a "great interview." That takes a skilled journalist for that to happen.

@@scvandy3129 Well of course I agree there were issues with some of the questions this local reporter asked, especially toward the end, but this still meets my definition of a "great interview" in that she asked mostly good leading questions, and she let the actors respond fully, and in their answers, I learned a fair amount about the process behind their reimagined portrayals of these two iconic characters, and the casting process they each went through.

At 54, I can't think of a more perfect casting choice in my entire lifetime, than Christine for Marcia's part. I mean, it's just a no-brainer really as she's somehow MORE Marcia than Maureen. It's bizarre, really. Like she was created to play this role. (She's great in all parts I've seen her in, not just this.) And Jennifer stole the show with her comedic edge. The movies would have been so much less without her.

I have a feeling that Eve Plumb would be ambivalent, at best, about Jennifer Elise Cox’s performance. Jennifer was absolutely hilarious but Eve might have been offended that SHE was made fun of.

"cassieSnyder-fx1hs," That's a nice thought, but 1) once they're onto their next movie or TV role 'why bother?' might be the mindset and 2) 'their counterparts' aren't necessarily guaranteed to be jumping up and down to meet Elise and Christine. Out of curiosity? Maybe. Or, 'why bother?' Awfully lame 'interview' -- especially when Bobbie knows she only has five minutes, tops, with the two.

Why do they always say one bathroom for nine people did they never watch the show Mike and Carol had a bathroom in their bedroom. It was behind that glass that was at the head of their bed just cause we never saw it didn’t mean it wasn’t there and I also don’t believe for a second that Alice didn’t have her own bathroom.

Right; that whole anecdote about director Betty Thomas instantly knowing she'd 'found her Jan' when Jennifer walked into the audition the very first time. A bit of a stretch or doesn't fly.

She's got Jan hair, voice and mannerism down, she's good enough. Christine doesn't look 100% like Maureen either, contrary to popular belief.

4:30 This 'interview' goes totally 'off the rails' when Bobbie asks if the two had met their small screen counterparts (ed. - "no") and then what questions they would ask them. [How about Christine and Jennifer saying, "Bobbie, dear, you're the journalist here, so WHAT QUESTIONS do you have for US?"] Ed. - Bobbie's question -- WHAT does that have to do with them and this movie? - "NOTHING". Bobbie Wygant has been doing this over THIRTY YEARS by this point; one would think she would come up with better questions ESPECIALLY with such a recognizable, beloved intellectual property when she's only allowed five minutes for the chat. She's approaching 'Jiminy Glick' (Martin Short's brilliant creation) comparisons. THAT is not a compliment. Other than seeing the pleasant, cooperating, poised actresses as themselves this is pretty much a 'wash' --- avoid.
