@4:50 when he says” would be rotating counter clockwise “ and signals and shows clockwise! 🤣 Must of been a test to see if we were paying attention. Great tutorials thank you!

I am all the way across the ocean in South Africa. Your videos are fantastic. After 10 years of sewing awnings, boat covers, outdoor blinds, cushions - basically you name it. I always learn something new from Sailrite. I always used to place the bobbins so that the bobbin turned anti-clockwise. Then someone told me it must turn clockwise - so I changed. Thank goodness I saw this video.

These videos are incredible. I am so glad we made the investment in this product for the quality and also to support such an exceptional company. Retailers everywhere should take lessons from Sailrite. I'm so impressed! I'm just beginning my boat sewing journey and feel like it is possible because of Sailrite!

I'm not sure what American clocks look like, but at 4:49, he says the thread is wound "counter-clockwise." For clocks here in Canada, that sure looks to me like the thread is wound CLOCKWISE.

I'm American, in school we learned how to tell time on a digital clock - what is 'counter-clockwise - you must be Old

@@garygerard4290 I have a graduate degree from an American Institution... American public schools are cra... not very good. I'm surprised they had to teach you how to read a "digital clock." Maybe it's not the schools?

kidding you Fred, 'a little humor this was built on a story I heard on the news a while ago saying they are no longer teaching cursive writing 'guess times are changing, uh? in about '68 I took a typing class in junior high school wow, I'm glad I did - bet they dropped that class Everything nowadays is hunt & peck on cell phones kind of a pity but I don't really care A week ago I rigged up a Servo motor on my LSZ 1 Wow, what an upgrade, and I ordered $100 from Sailrite this morning good luck buddy

@@garygerard4290 I missed the joke. As a Canadian, I am only too familiar with the set up. "I'm American... " It is followed by something really stupid. I remember as a kid, big American RV's coming to Canada and complaining about the sport fishing quotas. They would complain bitterly that the quota was so low. I would ask them "Why do you come here then?" And they would reply, "We don't have any fish left..." To be sure, America has some of the world's greatest minds, but further down the intelligence spectrum, some Americans seem so proud of their ignorance. It never ceases to amaze me.

Pain having to do this every couple items when top thread is not even halfway used. Why are bobbins small?
@SailriteDIY5 жыл бұрын
For a lockstitch sewing machine a bobbin must be used. The size of the bobbin is dependent on the size of the sewing machine, but even larger industrial sewing machines have a limit to the size of the bobbin. Go too large and the hook cannot travel around the bobbin fast enough to complete a stitch.
@paulalajoie49304 жыл бұрын
If I have a large project, I just wind 3-6 bobbins at the same time.. run out, quickly change.

My LS-1 won't disengage the main drive when I release the clutch. Am I missing something?
@SailriteDIY3 жыл бұрын
Do you have the newer Posi-Pin system or the older Friction Clutch Knob? If you have the Monster II Balance Wheel the two set screws under the belt may be locked down. Release them and the Balance Wheel should spin on the shaft.
@stopthephilosophicalzombie90173 жыл бұрын

Come on, a customer shouldn’t have to make any adjustments to wind in ding the bobbin. Why can’t you all do that????
@paulalajoie49304 жыл бұрын
I imagine, it's good for the customer to know..
@stopthephilosophicalzombie90173 жыл бұрын
Because that wingding is there to be adjusted because each thread winds differently. Don't be such a smartass.
