Thank you so much, this Pot Holder is so cute and I love the Picot stitch, and it’s easier than I thought it would be!! I have a Sister-in-law that loves Christmas so much, she has a Christmas tree that only has Santa’s on it, then she has another Christmas tree that has other Christmas decorations on it!! I’m going to make her a Pot Holder with one side Red and the other one Green so she can use it during the holidays!! I’ll give it to her on Thanksgiving Day! This is so pretty! I am on my third try to get it started correctly. Mine keeps curling up. I did a new chain twice because I thought maybe it was too tight. That did help a little but it is still curling. It starts after I do the first three bobble stitches.
@AmandaCrochets
@AmandaCrochets 8 ай бұрын
My first few rows were curling up a little too. That's just the nature of this stitch. As you make more rows, it should become straight. I usually pull on my work a little to stretch it out a little.

Why not 21 stitches per row? Chain 22, skip first and sc the remainder of the row should leave 21 SC. Also each bobble is 2 sc, then one at the beginning, that’s also 21?

when pot holder/hot pads are crocheted with two pieces, (a top and a bottom) I put one hundred percent cotton batting (like the kind used for quilting) between; there is also a teflon coated fabric like the ironing board covers are made of that can be layered with the batting to make the hot pads thicker and heat resistant; hope this helps /:)
