This is so pretty! I am on my third try to get it started correctly. Mine keeps curling up. I did a new chain twice because I thought maybe it was too tight. That did help a little but it is still curling. It starts after I do the first three bobble stitches.
@AmandaCrochets11 ай бұрын
My first few rows were curling up a little too. That's just the nature of this stitch. As you make more rows, it should become straight. I usually pull on my work a little to stretch it out a little.

Is cotton yarn better than using acrylic? I found and like the feel of the Lion Brand Heartland yarn. But it’s acrylic. I came across other tutorials and they seem to be using cotton. BTW, I love your pattern, it’s easy to follow and very luxurious looking.

Cotton is a better choice for this type of project as acrylic would melt. There are some soft cotton yarns out there like the one I used in this tutorial or Red Heart Scrubby Smoothie yarn.

Why is my last stitch a bobble and not a single? What am I doing wrong? Also is there 20 stitches every time?
@AmandaCrochets Жыл бұрын
Yes, you will always have 20 stitches per row. It’s possible you skipped a stitch or maybe did 2 of the same stitches in a row? Keep trying!
@gun25848 ай бұрын
Why not 21 stitches per row? Chain 22, skip first and sc the remainder of the row should leave 21 SC. Also each bobble is 2 sc, then one at the beginning, that’s also 21?

when pot holder/hot pads are crocheted with two pieces, (a top and a bottom) I put one hundred percent cotton batting (like the kind used for quilting) between; there is also a teflon coated fabric like the ironing board covers are made of that can be layered with the batting to make the hot pads thicker and heat resistant; hope this helps /:)
