BobMr2 : What I Look for when Buying Toyota sw20 mr2

Apologize for saying “pretty much” didn’t realized it until it’s uploaded. Not good with editing nor have time.
These are the things that I look for when I go buy my Mr2s. 95% of my cars were non runners and is what I prefer when buying one. That way I can restore it the way I want.
I’m no expert Mechanic / body man nor am I trying to be one. I just do this for fun and as a hobby. Most of these cars are sunny SoCal Cali cars.

On a T-bar I'd recommend checking for rust underneath the T-top seal if the owner lets you.

Why have I completely watched this? I already own an MR2 lol. Kinda interesting to see how the US spec does have some tiny differences to the European (and Japanese) cars. Nice dual tone interior too. I think it fits well with the outside color.

Great video Bob, as ususal. Is there any other points that is suitable when using a 2 post lift? My rear sills is getting squished just like your car and it only gets worse year by year.

There are 4 points that has pinch spot to Jack up from. U need a puck. But majority of the mr2 get smush pretty common

Yo great vids! Quick question My 93 turbo the gas door opens fine but it won't close it hits the latch part. But if I hold the gas door lever on the floor and I reach over at same time and close gas door it shuts. Any idea?

Where do you source your parts engine wise? I live in SoCal as well and was wondering if I got a jdm 3sgte 4/5gen is that legal to put in ? I cant seem to find a usdm one but maybe Im just bad at searching
