I am 58 years old. I have been having burning sensation from the pelvis to the toes and bad pain of my right leg for the past 8 years. Two months ago I discovered your channel. I have been doing physical therapy since then for at least 4 times a week. Your demonstrations have assisted me much so much that I feel much relieved now . My leg is now healing and I am able to do household chores that I failed to do because of the pain. Thank you very much and continue doing the good job . May God continue blessing you.

A year ago, I got into an accident that caused my disc bulge and sciatica. I almost resigned from work. But my doctor sent me exercises videos of bob and brad for my pain. A year later, I can now sit long hours, jog, and walk long distance. I still do the exercises every now and then and even when I have flare ups. Thank you for sharing this video. 🥰

@@hoehoe360 do not lose hope. I wake up every single day with a siatica pain since last 5 years but we have to fight it untill we defeat it. Exercise regularly, eat well, stretch daily and trust god. One day this pain will go away for you. I wish you with abundance of health.

I’ve been feeling so defeated. I don’t know what happened, but I started having pain in my left buttock and leg. I’m so scared that I won’t be able to do pole dancing anymore, and it’s depressing because that’s my happy place. I’ve been searching and searching for information on what to do, and everything is so conflicting. I hope these exercises help 😢

I am a football player. I had this problem ,pain in the lower back and glutes. The exersice of hanging the affected leg while lying over a table or something else high from the ground, helped me alot. It would not be a lie that a got my pain vanished in seconds. Thank you so much the two of you.

Thank you so much Bob & Brad! I’ve been in immense pain after a bike ride over 5 days ago, lower back (disc bulge??) I’ve tried all sorts of things alongside pain killers nothing has touched it, but I’ve just had a go at all of these exercises that you’ve sokindly shared with the world & the pain has almost gone away whilst sitting typing this message, I feel back in control again instead of feeling a prisoner of pain! Can’t thank you guys enough, bless you for what you do! A million thank you’s in this lockdown time you are truly life savers, love you guys! I also did the neck pain exercises you recommended! The pushup exercise cured me of sciatica three and a half years ago and now I am sharing this video with my brother-in-law so that he can get cured too.

So you are saying this cured your sciatica because I sure want to find something that does. I mean I go and get adjusted four days a week for about two weeks now and my neck end up sore and it seems like it’s helping but I still end up walking like my left hip hurts and makes my knee hurt so thanks for any information you can give

I am 65 yrs old. I have tried one of their therapy, leaning on the back and shape the hips to the R or L, whichever the pain is. And I was amazed when I felt a relief. Man, these people are truly helping. Thank you so much, Bob & Brad.

Just watching your videos makes me feel happier. You make me laugh. Half of the battle for me is the mental side of it. When it’s bad and I cant move for weeks on end I feel like I’m letting my family, myself and my work down. I feel useless. Don’t know if it’s an affect of tramadol or not but I feel very down. You guys are a breath of fresh air and you have helped a lot. Thank you!

I've never commented on youtube before but when I saw you were taking Tramadol I had to mention that I was also using it. After 2 weeks I was a zombie on this stuff. I stopped taking it and went into depression. After that I paid more attention to the physical therapy with some ibuprofin when necessary and really started to show progress. These guys know what they are talking about. My PT showed me many of the McKenzie exercises and they are now part of my daily ritual. It takes work, but you can get there.

I’m 23 and have ahead a bad back for over 3 years now because of a bulging disc around my L4. I just re-injured my back so bad but I’m praying these exercises work. Thank you for making this video!

Stay away from Drs..try to heal yourself..the medical systems left me in agony and it's been long time..best luck 2u I'm alot older and life w chronic pains NOT a Very good life to say the least...

I appreciate this video immensely, I've had on and off crippling sciatica for 8 years, done plenty of phyiscal therapy and watched a few of your videos before but this right here this is the only thing I've found to provide me with physical relief other than deep tissue massages. Much love guys keep up the good work, you've saved my day, the depression was sinking in fairly hard.

Thank you so much! I have spent three months with the sorest back and legs, and not certain what I did. After doing your exercises, all of the pain in my legs went away and now I have pain just in the compressed area and will continue doing your exercises until this goes away too. The shifting of the pelvis exercise helped me for sure. I felt a difference after doing it 2 times. I threw out my pelvis lifting weights and I though my chiropractor fixed it but then I started to feel pain go down my leg

Thank you so much guys. I have been having pain in my lower back and to the left side . Both legs hurt in my hamstrings and calved. This has been going on for about a year plus. Yesterday I tried some of these exercises and nearly all the pain is gone today. Thank you thank you .

you saved me! i threw out my back yesterday and i almost could not walk anymore. today i have 2 important tennis matches and i was extremely disappointed that i will have to miss them. i did everything i could think of, to get rid of the pain, nothing helped. then i remembered you guys and that maybe you just might have a video that could help me. and here it is! the pain is completely gone!! i can go and play now. you cannot imagine how grateful i am, i almost cried. thank you ever so much :-)

Kudos for the Video clip! Apologies for chiming in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Franaar Breathtaking Motion Formula (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? Many thanks, I've been looking for "is massage good for sciatica pain?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Venayden Wanillian Method - (search on google ) ? Ive heard some super things about it and my work buddy got excellent success with it.

Just got my MRI results. Moderate-sized disc protrusion at L5-S1 impinges upon the descending right S1 nerve roots within the effaced right subarticular recess. Seeing y'all do the crooked "carrying a pig" walk made me shout YES, THAT'S IT!! I'm so glad I found y'all, can't wait to watch all your videos and get started. ❤️❤️❤️

@@tahanoorullah5984 it seems to flair up for a few days to a week and then it'll calm back down. I recommend stretching, squeezing your butt and tummy to strengthen muscles and use muscles to support spine, do physical therapy, try the lay on belly with pillow under hips when in pain. And asap get into a pool and do physical therapy when covid will let you. Rest when you can.

I have tried these exercises for a few days doing them every few hours It as relieved my pain in my lower back and my right bottom . I will keep doing them every day, as I have never felt more relief on my pain.Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

@@asadkhan-ym5ue pain starts when u bend everytime, it maybe at left or right at your lower back. I'm using painkillers which almost reduced to zero but if I work my back then the pain starts to get started, be careful, do not lift any objects, do not bend, do not do any exercises that stresses your back, so daily I just walk, I don't even run as it stretches my back, Consult doctor use recommended painkillers, watch bob and brad physical therapist videos on KZbin about sciatica, they are the best, but don't let it get worse, coz it may even make you bedridden for many days where I was there coz I took sciatica lightly. Hope this helps...🙏

I will try these because I have been in serious pain like torture for almost a month. I've had six different pain medications and nothing is working. They want to give me a needle in my spine and I don't want that. I'm scheduled to see a Chiropractor soon. But I will try these and see if I get any relief. My pain is localized on the right buttock and goes to the back and sometimes the front of my thigh. I can't sit or stand or walk without pain. The MRI says the L2-L3, L-4, L-5 and SI are the cause. Something just doesn't seem right. As I lay on my back now I feel the pain has gone down to the front on my right leg passed the calf. I'm scared it's something else. I had pain like this in 2009 but it did not last this long and I didn't have much or any PT. HELP!!!

I have suffered with back issues for decades. I've never discussed it with a doctor because I am afraid of anyone touching my back as I know what the pain can do if the right spot is touched. Often my back will be affected for weeks. I'm going through a period of severe back pain now when I discovered your video and catchy tune. Thats pretty much my story i never trusted Docs from nightmare storys i hear of misdiagnosis & even operations that made things worse also chiropractors that pretty much beat u up, so i just kinda lived w pain before i could ," eat the pain " so as to walk normal but now its so bad i cant do it Now people tell whats wrong you have a limp.....

These videos are life savers! I have a herniated disc and the McKenzie exercise has helped me heal over last fall and I do it 3 or 4 times a day now as a preventative measure.

I was worried I’d never walk again but now I’m walking on sunshine and it feels good I’ve been watching Bod and brad for years and wish you guys had a tv show but these exercises can hurt in the beginning if you never exercise but stick with it and all pains will go away it took three days for me and even tho the pain gone I still do them

What if your can't stand well or walk well. My left leg hurts so bad. My leg gets heavy, the pain becomes unbearable. Standing is the same. My left leg, even with my weight on the other leg, the pain is horrible.

The leaning on the wall works for my pain in my hip. The only other position it doesn't hurt is laying on my back with my calves on my exercise ball.

Must admit that I'm despairing a little here today. Exercises that worked for me a couple of days ago are now too painful and I'm struggling to find other things which work. The pain has been intense today. But reading so many positive comments and testimonials on here is really encouraging. I won't give up hope. I did the knees together roll over stretch with the leg wedge pillow you advertise to support my feet... best stretch ever without holding your feet up, amazing. (You also cured my tennis elbow, you are the best... :)

Oh My! I'm 60 and have had major pain in my left leg for a week since we bought a new mattress (supposed to be extra firm but way too soft). Could hardly sit, walk or sleep so I tried all of your demonstrations. Still had pain but when I got to Brad's 'Ace in the hole' and I pulled my knees up and then moved them over to the left something popped big and loud and the pain left!! It's amazing! Thank guys! BTW, that $4800 mattress went back to the store! God bless you for making these videos!

I appreciate you guys. Thank you for these modified stretches, it seems to be making a difference. If you guys have time can you consider making a video for pain persisting in the lumbar spine and piriformis area for those of us who have progressed and eliminated pain/tingling from the foot, calf and hamstrings? I've been getting back spasms more frequently recently with some pain going into my buttocks. I'm trying these exercises. I already used to do cobra, but the idea of doing for the vertebrae versus for the soaz muscle seems different. Just tried the side straightening too. Interesting. I hyperextended my back when I was younger which took a long time to heal. Never sought treatment for it. I know I have bone spurs from X-ray image. I'vve been to a chiropractor, an ND, but have been told to seek out a PT. Thanks guys for helping me.

Some of the other exercises suggested on KZbin are impossible to do unless you’re Houdini. I’m 76 and can manage your exercises for bulging discs and sciatica and they definitely help.

The leaning against the wall technique seems backwards for me. I have a ruptured L5/S1 on the right front, which makes me lean to the left to relieve it. If I put the left shoulder to the wall and tilt in the pain shoots down the leg worse. Putting the right shoulder against the wall relieves it some.

since sciatica can be caused by several different conditions, wouldn't you need a diagnosis of what is causing the sciatica before you can figure out exactly what exercises to do to relieve pain? would really like to hear what people have heard about this. thanks!

Thanks guys. I’m in Australia and have struggled with back pain and and off for nearly 20 years. I’ve been in constant pain for the last 4 months. Crippling pain. I’ve been seeing an osteopath weekly but I get no better. I was out of alignment. The GI Joe gave me some relief with pillows under my belly. Thank you.

Ive had left side lower back to hip & groin down to rite below th knee for over 15 yrs with varying levels of pain but latlely its been th worst the hip & groin pain is so bad it hurts to even take a step. & now wen i bend i hear & feel.bones : cracking or?...

I have sciatica in left leg that comes and goes. If I do extensions it gets worse the next day. I don’t lean forward, backward, or to the side but my left foot tingles. The only thing that I have found to help is the piriformis stretch and no sitting. If I sit it gets worse immediately.

Thank you so much for these videos. I started with lower back pain in January, started physio and after 3 weeks started getting sciatica. I moved between physio, chiro, acupuncture, and as the pain started to shoot down my whole leg, moved to tingling, pins and needles and now numbness and cramping. I recently started to wake up because of pain and noticed I'd wake up with my lower body on the left with pain on my right side. Getting out of bed and bending was excrutiating so I went to my GP who first recommended ibuprofen, which gave me stomach problems, I was then recommended Zaldiar combination therapy (tramadol and paracetamol and now Mobic with little relief. I then decided before having to see a neurologist, I would go to an Exercise Physiologist who gave me the very exercises you said not to do. Hamstring stretch, pigeon, and childs pose in yoga. The next 5 days Ive experienced stronger pins and needles. I watched 5 of your videos lying on my stomach and trying some of the movements suggested and am already feeling better from lying on my stomach. Mine is a very stubborn pain, but I don't want to have surgery, and the knee up to the side and then lifting my upper body is the only thing I've done that doesnt sent pain or pins and needles down my leg. I'm going to try to do these exercises daily and hope that I get some relief and help myself get better, but thank you so much for all the explanations, demonstrations, and I love how you both interact and bounce off each other. Its so informative, helpful and entertaining too. Thanks for introducing me to the McKenzie Method. I was a very active person until sciatica set in and since felt very incapacitated, put on weight and feeling down about not being able to do simple tasks, sit, stand or lie down without being pain free so thanks so much. I plan to watch your videos and do these exercises every night :)

Oh I’m in the same journey with you. For me is 6 months now, start from back of my ass and gradually shoot below to my foot. Basically, this symptom brings everything described at me out. I can’t biking, I can’t travel, working, sleeping. Nearly everything that make my life is a life gone with it.

I just want to thank Bob&Brad for making these videos. I had a stubborn pain in my lumbar region for over a month now, been taking Ibuprofren but with no real results in reducing pain. Woke up one morning in pain couldnt stand straight and was fed up and serious about fixing the problem once and for all. I figured it was a herniated disc so I looked up videos on correcting a herniated disc and found bob and brad. I tried every exercise in this video and they all worked well. The last exercise did the trick completely. All the pain is gone. Thank you guys so much. If it wasnt for this video I probably would have spent hundred of dollars on Xrays and chiropractic therapy. My back has been better because I used this sciatica pain guide, 4SciaticaPainCure.blogspot.com That is genuinely a big deal to me because I have worked with many, many guides and also my back still hurts after each a different one. I cannot believe I have found the solution for my sciatica problem I am hoping this relief would last!.

it’s not exactly public service they make money off of these videos on youtube. I enjoy watching them as well but I’ve said it before there is no one size fits all everyone should be evaluated by a physician and therapist before trying any of these exercise

My leg pain has been driving me crazy . Every exercise is extremely painful after I feel like the pain gets worst .I’ve been sitting with a heat pack on my leg because of the shooting pain . I don’t know what else to try . Laying on my back with two or three pillows have worked a little I can now sit with the nerve pain still persisting. Like I said the exercises make the pain hurt worst for about 2 hours.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I herniated a disk 4 months ago lifting poorly and have been in pain, slowly recovering. The doctors did not even properely diagnose me and told it has just pulled a muscle in my back. Until a month ago, I was walking around misdiangosed waiting for the pain to go away. After discovering your videos, I realised I had a herniated disc with siatica and I started doing the mckensize exercise regularly. But I had the most stubborn siatica down my left leg which was not going away. After changing how I was doing the mckenzie pushups (shifting the hips away from the left), the spot of numbness started relieving itself and for the first time in 4 months I am able to feel part of my leg again. Thank you so much, I was so scared it would take years to recover or I would eventually need surgery. I even thought about walking with a cane at one point, I am 22.

you guys saved my life . back when i had horrific pain from bulging discs i suffered the worst mind blowing pain from sciatica and leg cramps i was ready to commit suicide. then i found your channel and your demonstration of the McKenzie exercise half push up . let me tell you that one exercise made me recover very quickly . I've been able to return back to work full time for the last 2 months now . But I still sleep on the floor and have now for around 5 months now and that is also helping tremendously. I prefer sleeping on the floor now as my body has and spine has become used to it my back feels stronger for doing so . But I may invest in the sleep roll .

My sciatica nerve pain triggers for second time around and this is worst than last year. 😭 From February til now end of July i still suffering. The pain still comes a goes. I had a few sessions with physiotherapy combination with chiropractor. it helped but the pain didn't go away completely. I will try this exercise and wish to heal completely. 🙏 Thank you so much for making this video. 💕🙏

I'm doing these exercises the best I can. So far I still need 2 pillows to lay on my stomach. I tried the last exercise (the twist) and that felt really good. The leaning against a wall exercise was just painful. I really hope this works! I had a microdescectomy and laminectomy 6 years ago and it took 3 years to get back to normal. Now I messed up again doing squats with only light weight. The sciatic nerve pain is so bad it causes my right leg to freeze up after walking for about a minute. I know I need a MRI but I just can't afford it right now so hopefully this helps.
