4d box recap

The box is a 4D combat fundamental that encompasses almost all of the standard blocks and parries. You can practice individual ones but to be effective using your hands to defend you've got to have a grid you can play with and jam so to speak. Then you just adapt it to what they're doing. You're doing one thing and they're doing four. Start with fixed blows but then loosen it up and improvise. Importantly once you've got the box concept deep inside you can fill that box or space with punches, evasion and lots of other stuff. It's the key to feeling calm in combat.
