Bobby had quite a few inferiority complexes and his siblings always looked out for him, like when he felt like he couldn't win at anything and they gave him a trophy for trying hard. It's sweet in a way but I guess Bobby felt like they were just pitying him. Bobby could relate to Jan , as she went though many similar struggles
