They were both strong because eventually Whitney got clean too but the damage was already done with her voice & her days were numbered. If someone planted drugs in her hotel which is the (dark secret) unfortunately once an addict always an addict & maybe she relapsed that night, also a set up to kill her while she was vulnerable. If the industry has no more use for you & feel they can make more money off your death, guess what you’re dead, regardless if you’re clean & sober. We will never know the truth behind her death. Losing your wife and then daughter is one thing, and obviously extremely difficult. But, add that to people blaming their deaths on you - is a completely different level of guilt and sorrow. Even if HE tohimself knows it's not his fault; when you live more than half your life in the public eye, PERCEPTION becomes both a friend and your worst enemy; meaning, it almost controls your life. The fact so many people blamed him had to have been some of the worst living hell to go through. Obviously, he's had years to learn how to separate public perception from his own reality, but it's still difficult to separate the two. Seems like he has a good heart and I hope he's doing well.
