Yeah, like the deal he gave Dick Roman. Oh wait, he betrayed him. Like the deal he made with a banker involving a "young woman"... Oh wait, he showed up just to mess with that guy. Like the deal he mad with Castiel to not touch Sam or Dean - and then he turned around and grabbed Lisa and Ben. Oh wait... like the deal he made with Donald Trump in Season 14 whilst knowingly under the effect of Jack's truth magic. From the wiki: "As Dean described it, when dealing with Crowley, "he will always find a way to bone you"." Don't get me wrong, somewhere along the line Crowley had a few words with Bobby about the nature of his deal and this slipped in there - much like how he "slipped in" a clause about getting Bobby's legs back. "Temporary loan. I'll give it right back." That's what he promised. Underline... promised. Now, having said all that, you are onto something. Boy is it conspicuous Crowley didn't give it back. I wonder why... But here's the real question - Crowley will *always* bone you... yet he's quite amiable with Bobby here. Very forthcoming, not further tricks, no demons getting in his way, no tricks, no bargaining for more. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Maybe it's because Crowley WANTED bobby to release himself? He gave him 10 years. 10 years! Bobby didn't even need a month. He gave the most capable well-connected hunter in the SPN fandom... 10 years and his legs for free. Sound more like Crowley saving face as King of the Crossroads by not relinquishing the deal until he had to? Maybe trying to save face? Or maybe... The magic wouldn't work if he turned around and gave the soul right back. If that were teh case Crowley could easily get 1 human, use that ultimate power, and then just give their soul back. Crowley... likely can't give it up. Either for magical or political reasons... But he can give Bobby such a good deal Bobby gets himself out of it - and while the bones of Crowley seem like a high price... they also gave them over. Their one kill-all for Crowley. My bones for your soul? That sounds like a Crowley endgame... and he said he'd give it back once he was safe. And he was. From them. He did say, right in the beginning of the deal - that he was looking out for himself... and by convoluted extension, he found his bones. Crowley. What a great character.

That ten years line didn't make much sense. A more threatening line would have been:"Ten years of living or ten seconds as Alpo"

Crowley should not have done that. But that is his thing smug arrogance, a little bit of strategy, belittlement of anyone caught in his trap and overconfidence that he can handle any beings more powerful than him ie(lucifer,amara,dick roman, the boys)

Why couldn't the Bobby on the Winchester be more like this instead of the one we got? I mean on the winchesters he doesn't even use the word idjot the right way. It's a tern of endearment on the series finale on both shows I almost feel like yelling "balls!" The way the old Bobby did when things went bad. They are killing my favorite character worse than the Leviathan ever did.
