Mi opinión es que éste álbum debe figurar en las más grandes creaciones de la historia del JAZZ....!!!!!

When I was a teenager in the 1950s I listened to my Coast Concert record constantly. I was sure it was the greatest album ever made. And I made have been right.

This was the best Dixieland aggregation EVER assembled. The contrasting styles of Teagarden and Lincoln added an especially delightful dimension to this "banquet" of standards.

One of, if not the best jazz album ever made, especially when you consider these guys never played together before and did it in one all-night session.

Something about the Dixieland style catches my ears. It is very fun to listen to. I kind of feel like setting up a dixieland band of myself with my friends.

Another disc that mysteriously disappeared from my collection. I had Coast Concert on cassette (recorded from the original vinyl), and Jazz Ultimate on vinyl. I was pleased to find them both on one disc. This is my grandpa's music (peace be upon him).

An awesome aggregation of the "creme de la creme " of the "Masters" of traditional Dixieland standards. Even the tuba player plays "tasty" :)

The second trombone sounds like Abe Lincoln...
@johnchoquette37286 жыл бұрын
Yes - it IS Abe Lincoln. A very famous trombone player from Los Angeles - where the recording was made. It was brilliant to arrange for these two masters of the instrument to be recorded together.
