Well, who saw that coming? The Cajun Cannon sounds off after the New Orleans Saints demolished the Carolina Panthers 47-10 in the regular season opener. A huge day for Derek Carr, the run game and ... basically everybody.

I called 35-14 but didnt expect by 37. I was more amazed at Coach Kubiak offensive scheme... 200 passing yard and 189 rushing yards that's a balanced attack. Lets not get started on the DEFENSE... Regardless what team it is, that DEFENSE is hungry, Taylor 3 sacks, howden and harris 2 ints and the 🦡 with thr fumble yeah....now we got an offense that can at least get field goals and no t.o.s yeah we gone be something this year.. but we gotta eliminate the penalties...

Saints played great in all phases of the game. Both tackles played well. The run game showed life. Now the Cowboys have a better defensive front and their kicker is a damn beast. I still need the receivers to get more active because the Cowboys will cover 2 all day long. But overall this game was great to watch

Two balls that got knocked down one to Taysum were dimes. It was their CB that was tall and quick that made great plays that kept them from being caught

I’ve been really hard on Carr. He played a very good game! Kamara looked like his old self. Saaweeet! Gotta get another RB option, Williams only had one good run that I saw, towards end of game and also looks like he continues to fail breaking free of 1st tackler Cautiously optimistic- BUT, I did see the comradely behavior that’s been missing. This was the most dominant win on opening day in Saints history. The most encouraging thing was the team was great in all 3 phases of the game. I had no expectations going into this season so this was such a pleasant surprise. Wow! It’s just one game but I’m gonna enjoy it. WHO DAT!!!

Saints 38-Packers 3 was a special beat down 3 years ago, but this win was so much more comprehensive, the offense knew exactly what they were doing and where they are going. Carolina was getting some sneaky hype, and if the Saints are a bad team, they would have sneaked this one out or lost outright. They didn’t mess around, the goal should be a split against the top of the NFC east and I’ll be all in on them as a legit team who could win a playoff game.

@@mythrapi73 He beat Dallas 3 years ago putting up 33 points. I’m not afraid of Dallas or Philadelphia. The Saints would have beaten them in the playoffs had it not been for the GB game. Hurts is not all that. In his second year of starting last year after NFL defenses for some film on him he didn’t do well. He is a good power lifter but not much of an NFL QB.

I was watching a video earlier, before the game, that was dedicated to Craig "Ironhead" Heyward. In one clip, Hwbert is in the pocket, he avoids pressure. I guess he saw nothing doen the field. He lateralled the ball to Ironhead, got out in front of the play and made a nice block.
