Some jazz critics don't like this LP. GREAT SONG. And a good LP.

I have the vinyl and bought it when it came out. Such a strong lineup of musicians.

Ah yes!! This is the song I had the dream about (at least I think it was this song). Either way, one of my favorite Bobby Hutcherson songs from one of my favorite albums.

This song was written by George Cables.

I remember this from years ago and also had it on vinyl. I remember a woman singing a verse in the beginning, but this version doesn't have her on it. I can't seem to find the audio if it anywhere. Oh well. This one will do.

I love hearing the vinyl play (6.20). This track is intense and cool, almost ambient at the end (heartbeat or camel-train [that's camel TRAIN you pervs ! lolol] plus vibes). The 'rhodes is so like vibes in timbre, its suprprising they go so nicely together. Hutch seemed to like it. Who's playing what, Mr. Chalmers..? peace and nice post thanks !

Muchos gracias, Supernintendo. Por favor, if you could list the personnel on your posts, that would be much appreciated. People like myself (well, there's really no one like myself, but! I digress ...) who are unfamiliar with many of the groups and musicians benefit greatly when we knew who is making the music. Thanks again! Starting my day with your selection.

That same thing happened to me! I had a cassette copy of this one, and the tape broke. They let this record go out of print, too. I like the stoney vibe of it, the electric piano, and Hubert Laws, on it. I wanted to get the vinyl, but not for $65! I played with Bobby in 1980, we're on a record by Larry Vuckovich called "Blue Balkan". It was the thrill of my life, because I'd already been a fan of his since my teens, before that.
