@@robacdc1977 To correct both of you, according to an interview with him regarding the subject, he had just come off touring and was somewhat burnt out and would have only had 10 days to learn the (very difficult) material. And given there were no guarantees with getting the DT gig, and seeing as he already had regular gigs with a few artists, he opted not too. Maybe he'll someday regret it, but I doubt it. Sometimes the timing just isn't right. Some actors have passed on iconic roles for the very same reason.

His dexterity is not of this world, nor is his intuition. Knows where those cymbals are and how to execution stops like a Jedi. That his hands and feet are weapons of crash destruction speaks volumes of his mastery. One of the best ever for sure.
