Bobby was the Drummer in a band I was in for about three years. The Daryl Dugosh band. You have no idea of the amount of work he put into his craft. Rolling down the road he was always practicing. He also happens to be a fine fellow with a pretty good sense of humor. I am lucky to have played with him.

I recall recommending this to you, and a great deal of people agreed and commented. Thanks to David who suggested it on Patreon! The song is a Japanese Bonus Track called "A Quick Affix" off the "Spastic Ink - Ink Compatible (2004)" album. Ron Jarzombek is the guitar player here, and Pete Perez was on bass. It's renamed to "Peppered Cancer", some guitar sweeps are removed, so there is more focus on the drums and the mix is more drum-focused. This was a video from the "Performance and Technique" DVD released by Bobby Jarzombek, and it never gets old. Really glad you liked it :)

Riot, Halford, Sebastian Bach, Fates Warning, Arch/Matheos, Demons and Wizards, toured with Iced Earth after Richard Christy left to do Howard Stern(Richard Christy is also a must watch, insane drummer and super nice guy), Juggernaut, Painmuseum, Rob Rock, etc. I saw his brother Ron live with Watchtower when they opened for Dream Theater in Dallas on their second leg of the Scenes tour. I was only 15 at the time and completely blown away. Now for my vote on who to check out, Dirk Verbeuren, Spectrum of Eternity live playthrough. @@AndrewRooneyDrums Did you know that he was one of the drummers picked for the DT job ? He was asked by Dream Theater to come and audition but he ended up declining. He was out touring with Halford, had several other commitments and didn't have time to learn the songs. He also thought that there was too many things unclear at that time, if Portnoy was gone for good or if he was coming back so Bobby didn't want to burn bridges to work he already accepted. The guy from the DT camp said that he was the only one that said no lol. In the end he felt that Mike Mangini was a good choice, must have been a tough spot to be in at that time. What everyone is saying here is absolutely true but I would like to add something else..he is truly one of the nicest and most humble people I have ever met. He is a master at his craft and has worked his ass off to be one of the top 5 drummers of all time (my opinion and many others as well). One would think that, him being considered one of the greatest drummers in the world he might be a bit arrogant (or a lot arrogant) or have an attitude. He doesn't...not at all. In fact, he has zero ego and often fills in on drums for many local bands/artists in Austin, San Antonio and South Texas. I would think he would be bored as hell sitting in with a local country band and play 4/4 shuffles and traditional/old school country music all night but he does it and man does he do it well!! You won't meet a nicer more genuine person, especially someone at the level he plays. He has sat in with the band I am with several times when I have had to be out for one reason or another. He charts drums parts for the songs he isn't familiar with and he will nail it every single time. Bobby is the total opposite of so many famous drummers. Always professional, prepared, and just all around, a great human being.

The Jarzombeks are just aliens! Definitely try Pierre Rettien's drum playthriugh of either Social Unboard ( strong recommend) or Scalable (still good, awesome ending section) for the band Vertex! I promise you'll be blown! Anyway, I really enjoy your work, keep it up man! n_n

@@AndrewRooneyDrums BTW, if you're getting sick of all the extreme stuff, he does an amazing Al Di Meola cover with his 80's band Riot. kzbin.info/www/bejne/faCuhJ1jfMR9ebM&ab_channel=fiambrera

This track/video is definitely cool and all, but the Spastic Ink tracks “Aquanet” and “Multi Masking” are some of the greatest drumming performances in history. He’s nuts.

Hey Andrew, how about "The Mevins", they employ 2 drummers, and they have been quite an influence on other bands esp. sludge & groove for long. Would love to see your reaction on "The Bit - Melvins (European Tour 2009) "
