i get confused when people just blurt out the backcourt doesnt work they averaged 47 pts & 17 assist together? like thats top 5 in the nba for backcourt duos for total points. So some of this narrative sounds uninformed. The teams front court was terrible and injured most of the season with the exception of Jalen Johnson.. Capela has been washed for years... Hunter has been a disappointment at best ... Draft Sarr and cut the dead weight. sign some cheap size Bol Bol, Drummond, and a few more athletic wings without trading the backcourt, Mo Gueye will be a good player. Trae will thrive with a more versatile big who can offer a pick & pop option. These talking heads are terrible !!!

To all the masses using Trae's absence to draw facts and evaluate his worth against DJ, it's absolutely ridiculouse. One has got to recognize the fact that Trae has not had the time to play without DJ on the floor like DJ has had without him..we both know when together they're not the best solution for the team.. what's needed is to see both play individually without the other for the same amount of times be it 2 months or so then proper conclusions can be drawn
