It would be nice to see Greinke sign with a team 1 more time. He is the last of the traditional pitchers. Max Sherzer, Justin Verlander, Chris Sale were kinda those kinda pitchers. Not as much these days. They will all be retired really soon. Living in Japan do Jappanese pitchers or baseball players in general live on the IL? Or Tommy John Surgeries? Great Bobby Miller card. Enjoyed Tony.

Big time on Greinke. He's like 20 K's away from 3,000. And I feel like there are fewer injuries overall in Japanese baseball. I don't know that for sure but it seems to be the case. The players here are just overall smaller and more limber. Tommy John is very rare. The pitchers definitely don't throw as hard. The average NPB four seamer is probably a couple MPH slower than MLB.

Pitching has always been a survival of the fittest but it has become quite a meat grinder recently

Maybe the clock is making the problem worse but I kind of get the feeling no one is quite willing to admit the biggest culprit is pure velocity. We all want to see 95mph sliders.

@jpwiscobaseballcards1192 couldn't agree more, everyone wants to pitch like Nolan Ryan but no one else is built that way
