I wonder what Orr would earn in today's game? He would certainly be the highest paid player in the league--and the other thing playing in today's era would have extended Orr's career beyond the age of 30 when he retired as orthopedic procedures now are far more advanced and less invasive than they were back then

He would walk into the owners office and say to him, "hello, I'm your new partner".

+david graham That's THE most mind-boggling thing about Orr's career: 11 knee surgeries on his left knee alone. Starting from his rookie year right up until he retired, to have 11 knee surgeries that required DEEP incisions and tearing up the knee--no scopes back then--and yet he STILL dominated, both offensively and defensively, like no other player before or since. It almost defies belief.

Orr was praised by millions but in reality he was scoring garbage goals through the legs of the no name goalies from anywhere on the ice. There are a lot of videos of Orr flying around the ice doing spin-o-ramas around players but if you take your eyes off of Orr and watch the players that he's competing against you'll find yourself scratching your head trying to figure out who the opponents are. The only way to find out who they are is by googling the team roster and searching their jersey number to find out their name because 95% of these players were nobodies that were brought up into the NHL beginning in 1967 through the late 70's to expand the leagues amount of teams from six to twelve teams and every year or two a couple more teams were added. These players names are totally forgotten by everyone including the NHL as you'll never hear a word of them in your lifetime. The star players themselves only mention what their team accomplished back then and can never remember encounters with 95% of the players from back then. If you bought a set of hockey cards from the 70's you'd keep about a dozen total cards from the Habs and Bruins and the rest of them would be clipped onto your bicycle spokes with a clothespin to make your bicycle sound like it had a motor. These players were far from NHL quality players but the league needed to expand and there was no other way other then to fill it up with garbage teams for a dozen or so years. In the long run it was worth it but the quality of hockey in the 70's was the worst in the history of the sport. The NHL has their announcers / puppets lie to us and promote the sport as having had a great history of competition and rivalries from day one. It's far from the truth. A lot of hockey fans from back then hate me for saying these things but it is all backed up with video and stats of these players and teams. I could care less what the new fans feel about what I say about it because they have no clue. The Original Six era was also a very weak era in hockey as the All Star Canadians teams racked up cup after cup on the weaker American based teams. The Leafs and Wings were the only two teams outside of the Habs that had a shot at winning the cup during this time (1942-1967). The Bruins and Rangers didn't win one cup during these 25 years and the Hawks were a poor playoff team winning just one cup during this era. Out of the six teams in this sad league you could bet your house every year on who would win. ORR IS WAY OVERRATED! 1-2-3 SCOTTY!

Hahahaha this guy spends his entire life looking up Bobby Orr videos then comments the same copy and paste nonsense. It's honestly sad, I have sympathy for his emotional and mental well being. Get well buddy, therapists can help you with your delusions.
