The Crypt Kickers is still the best name ever for a band. Novelty songs are sorely missed these days.

Apparently "Monster Mash" continues to generate over $1 million yearly in royalties! Not too shabby! Thanks for opening & sharing.

Too many collectors are snobs when it comes to novelty/comedy... These kinds of records saved me from taking my life when things got bad.

I still have mine from when it was released in the UK!It came out on the back of the Monster Mash single which was a massive grave yard smash in 1973 in the UK! It is daft and funny and I loved it when I was young! I will give it a spin this Halloween!

I have an original picked up from a junk shop in the 1970s. Some of the material sounds a little thin and contrived but you have to love some of the titles, Sinister Stomp, Blood Bank Blues, Transylvania Twist, Rabian the Fiendage Idol etc. Great party record.

Great song! I love hearing it around this time of year. However, I'm more interested in that shirt you're wearing!! I'm waiting....very impatiently...for album #2.

Heard a tale that when Bobby was cremated, his daughter had a ring made up containing his ashes.

My parents have the original vinyl. Apparently Darlene Love was one of the backing vocalists.

Got the 45 rpm, at a K Mart, like 1973. Talk about Lost Worlds. I think it was 79 cents. Rode my 10 speed there with some friends at least once a week after school, it was in the next town over. NorCal.

There's been plenty of covers through the years, but The Bonzo Dog Band version is scaringly brilliant with Viv Stanshall on vocal and including a great wee mash up the with the outgoing lyrics begining with : "come in Boris, we always have a guest for breakfast..." , along with Vivs goulish laugh in the fade out Recommend a listen!

I wish David Gilmour and Roger Waters could bury the casket and release the long-awaited Glow-in-the-dark Side of the Moon.

If it's the same track listing as the one I found in a used record shop in the late 70s, the rest of the songs aren't much to speak of. They're fun in an odd way, but the majority are just Hallowe'en/monster versions of the current Hot Rod craze of the time. Dracula's Deuce is one that I recall. Cool to find out that Leon Russell played on this!

"...you can go to other YT channels and watch someone walk in the dark to see this album glow" FINE! Unsubscribed and will go to other channels. How do you like that? (5 minutes later....) The content on those other channels sucked and I'm back to C.A.R.
