Drove a 12 years old waja cps at karak. Like the gearbox so much. Engine braking applied at downhill. Amazing car. Also drove an e250. Always need to use pedal shifters to drop gear. Maybe it was intented to do so for minimizing the louder revs due to engine braking into the cabin.

yeah like i said, it's either a case of (lazy effort to make it more comfortable and refined) or (intentionally making it seemed responsive) but compared to the 5 series, it is less comfortable, less quiet, less smooth, less refined ride quality. it is busier, faster steering response. but when driven hard, it also lacks the depth of talents compared to the 5 series, especially with how the car reacts mid corner braking or acceleration

I guess the foreign journalists opinion that it is quite sporty is true? Does it have EQ Boost? AMG Line would be more appealing perhaps.

Lol I never ever imagined E Class to be "sporty" 🤣🤣🤣 Playful. I find no issue with direct throttle response, brake feel and road feel. Just the suspension should have been calibrated and tuned better for more comfort. The throttle, brake and steering direct feel can't be said as uncomfortable, it can be fun.

Chassis playful as in "intentionally or unintentionally" it was made to react fast just to appear dynamic. But in terms of outright composure it lacks the depth of the 5 series actually. But the 5 series starts off being ultra steady and quiet and refined and smooth, making you kind of felt it's the introvert of the two.

Yeah. Cabin noise is very loud. Louder than Camry and Arteon. On par with Accord, hmmm I think it's slightly louder. And it kinda shakes more than what we expect from luxury D segment sedan

That's why I kept saying the 5 series insulates and felt more comfy, smooth while this one as if (whether intentional or unintentional) it's more playful and dynamic. Lol

The 5 series equivalent is miles miles better. Mercedes is starting to slack. Alot of catching up to do.
