Practicing delayed gratification will reward you tremendously over time. I drove a 15 year old ++ car in my early days of legal practice and later cheap utilitarian vehicles and focused on building wealth via real estate investments. 15++ years later, those investments grew hundreds of percent and funded my doo dads as Kiyosaki puts it - McLaren, Ferraris etc. The focus is still on growing investments ... whilst keeping doo dads to a minimum. The best secret for investments is leveraging time... so focus on leveraging and growing your investments in the early working days and over time, the rewards will be bountiful.

Its true that your Rapide S even increased from 330k 4 years ago to 450-500k today, BUT the maintenance is going to be more than depreciation of a 300k car like a BMW 330i. Road tax alone is 15k and your insurance also 15k( now probably more) every year. 30k per year + 20k per year maintenance will be 500k in 10 years.

You gotta count the "usage" as part of the perks / what you got in return. This is not some "investment" that you just keep in the garage. You "use" it.

Actually it doesnt matter if u r rich or not,but rather if u r willing to take leap of faith to buy a car within ur budget.It depends also if u have family to support,contract or permanent work,type of work,how long you intend to keep the car,u want good resale value and ssooooo much more.....for me,im contract worker,i hadnt had to support family then,but i brought a civic with in mind that i can just sell it if i cant pay it anymore,but eventually keepin it for almost 9 years now....😅

Previous year, people said that buying a house first. House hold up the value less depreciation. But i owned a brand new house for 9 years, i lost 130k bank interest. The lumsum taxes and mainatainace fees not counting. Only the banker is the winner😂😂😂 Dulan dy then sell it then buy a serena is far more better. bring my boys jalan around, make more valuable experience and memories rather than earn all bloody money, stay at the house most of the time because not to spend much, end up for nothing. Bloody costing la this lesson to me😅 But, there is something i need to mentioned that. 2 of my Perodua hold up the value really well, after 5 years, still can get back 15k after settlement. 💪 Overall, the outcome is the well answered.😂😂

cars is something to flex your true identity just like watches it flows with cars and a car flows with houses they are all interlink so end of the day don live beyond your actual means you don wears a patek philipe owning third world cheap area property unless yours is a prime location bungalow at least.

Buy crypto first . Housing is an asset that is a hedge against inflation. You still need growth stocks or increase your income first. Car is a luxury item. Kind of a statement that you’ve made it in life

Meh that's boring. I don't want to be balding or full of grey hair, only then able to drive a nice car. I'm not even talking cars that are 100k++. I'm talking a used enthusiast cars at least. There's a lot out there, instead of spending on a "new civic" which are so many on the road nobody cares, now that's a waste of 150k.
