When saying expensive than china, pls compare those japanese car price in japan and this car in malaysia come with turbo and dct compare with NA and cvt. When saying ride and handling, some time good ride and handling come with the price of comfort, and pls remember most of ppl is drive for daily use and not racing. outside it still same as x50, but inside is really quite silent. tbh i prefer cabin silent than outside since i always do full exhaust setup outside. it will be loud also. but if you want comparison marhean lvl look at axia purring. it almost same. the nature of 3 cylinder. either you in gr yaris or x50 or in this case s70 it same. you cant run from 3 cylinder sound. you can hide it with exhaust setup

Still think it should be called an S50. They made a mistake rebadging this model first. The Geely Emgrand was designed as a B segment car to compete with Vios and City. Yes it’s slightly bigger than previous gens B segments but that’s because cars are getting bigger and bigger. Case in point, an e39 5 series or w211 e class is smaller than a g20 3 series or w206 c class. Proton brought this in and wanted to call it S50 at first. Then they realised, their persona is still in production and is not due for replacement, but their c segment, after waja, came preve and preve was no longer in production since ages ago. So they just marketed this as a C segment car and call it an S70. Original plan was to bring in Geely Binrui as their C segment or Preve replacement. So I still think Malaysian buyers are short changed buying a B segment car at a B segment price because with Proton, we always get to buy a higher segment with a lower segment price.

At low speeds, of course it's good to slammed the brakes to protect the pedestrian because the harm to passengers in the car or the car behind is minimal Vs fatal for the pedestrian. At high speeds, the system shouldn't slam the brakes when it detects an animal or a human because it would cause a chain reaction on highways

It's the turbo engine cannot respond immediately from idle. These cars have no launch control so they stomp the accelerator from idle. The problem is if you do that on a turbo engine, it takes a second for the turbo to start spinning.
