Wendy is 12, so yeah she's young but she is also VERY powerful and a good fighter. Wendy also has some of the coolest magic in the series. Shelia can only heal wounds but not regen stamina, wendy can't heal her own wounds but can heal others ( not as good as Shelia's magic tho ) and regen their stamina.

At the time of this fight Wendy is 13 and Shelia is .. I think 15 but I can't be 100% positive. ... Just checked the Fairy Tail wiki and confirmed it - Shelia is 15 at the time of GMG.

Wendy was 12 at the time, actually. (And before any wise guy tries to say she's really 412 or something, the author said in a Q&A that none of the DS's are older than they look. That whole "How are Natsu and Gajeel older than 80?" thing a while back was confirmed to be a red herring.)

So... just checked. Wendy was 12 when she joined FT. The FT Wiki which is rather reliable list her as 12 in 784, so that would be pre-Tenrou. It is entirely possible that she is still 12 by GMG but given that we don't know when her birthday is she is just as likely to be 13. Not trying to argue here just saying we can't be sure which one of us is correct - it could very well be you, the FT timeline is really packed (everything up to the end of Tenrou arc takes place in the space of 5 months) so there might not have passed enough time for her 13th birthday to have come around by the time GMG happened.
