@@ithomas7788 knight would have forked queen and rook. CPU considers knight there a monster for wayyyyy to complicated checkmate sequence. Actually against any gamemaster engines you should eliminate knight asap or you will be checkmated in some disgusting ways

@@rarminqorset3628 if you castle queen side yes you blunder and lose a rook for a knight but if you king side castle that becomes impossible. That knight is still dangerous but king safety is more important.we also have to realize engines can technically beat grandmasters so take them with a grain of salt. They're gonna see moves that people can't of course. They are mostly right but they can calculate 50 moves ahead we can't

It’s hard to have a brilliant move puzzle because it’s kind of a miscalculation by the computer so idk how you can program it. I guess use previous games that have had the moves already?

As a 700 rated player who have defeated 1400 rated players several times... Once I had 2 consecutive Brilliant moves after thinking for 7 minutes 14 seconds against a 1477 rated player... I lost the game due to Time Out

@@TanjiV Not true. My friend's a 300 but he's had like 5 brilliant moves; 3 intentional 2 mistake. I personally have 3 brilliant moves as a 700-ish.

As a 1000 player, nothing boosts your confidence more than blundering your queen, losing the game and then finding out in the analysis that you accidentally did a brilliant move and not even understanding why it was brilliant

We actually hit more brilliant moves than we think I’m a beginner I’ve been playing 5 1/2 months and I’m 950 right now and I’ve hit 46 brilliant moves which is on par with similarly skilled players

I'm a 300, watched a midgame video about planning and other stuff happening in midgame, Watched an analysis of a random game I, suddenly I had 3 brilliant moves and I was shocked.. I wasn't shocked cuz I made a brilliant move but was shocked why I still have atleats 8 blunders per game at the same time make single exclamation mark sometimes even double exclamation mark moves

as an 800 player, i once made 2 brilliant moves back to back. i then proceeded to miss mate-in-one, trade rooks thinking it was a good idea, and eventually won only because my opponent blundered and gave me another mate-in-one. it was an interesting game, to say the least.

A lot of times the “brilliancy” is just a result of seeing tactics that come up frequently in puzzles. I really invested in puzzles and have seen a subsequent increase in brilliant moves that I was later surprised to find were “brilliant”.

I've made several brilliant moves despite being under 1000 ELO. Usually they are moves that on the surface look bad (e.g. giving up a major piece), but actually give you a significant advantage. Other times, though, I have no idea what makes them brilliant.
