@@seaskimmer9071 Some people use Donkeys and Llamas (not Alpacas) to guard their sheep and cattle herds. Llamas are fucking mean bastards. They will kick and bite and spit all over your ass bigtime. You don't want to mess them. They will tear your ass up.
@finngamesknudson14572 жыл бұрын
@@seaskimmer9071 - Just because species arose in one place, does not mean that people have not brought them elsewhere. Alpacas and Llamas may have originated in South America and still be most common there - but I’ve seen many in multiple states within the lower 48. Other posters here have mentioned their use as guardians in Europe. Would think their cold tolerance and mountain origins would make them ideal for use in mountainous northern regions - which is also where they’d be most likely to encounter grizzlies. So comment is not so laughable. Personally I like dogs because they bark. You want guardian animals to handle all the small stuff, and make bigger threats reconcpsider (look for easier meals. If big animal is really attacking, dogs may just slow it - but they’ll alert you and buy time for you to get out the big guns.
