Very generous of Bobcat to share his memories of Robin. They were, infact, best of friends & I feel his discussion was very respectful. Robin Williams had a very lonely, isolated childhood. His Father was GM of the Ford Motor co., & was rarely home. Williams stated that when his father was around, Robin was afraid of him. They were a wealthy family. His mother did not work, she was a ' socialite' & Narcissistic. He was bought up by a beloved Nanny. He was sent to private schools & was bullied mercilessly by his peers. He developed many of his personas & voices, playing for years, alone in the Attic with his tin soldiers. The only way he was able to gain his mother's attention was to make her laugh. He was an only child. He used cocaine & alcohol to self medicate, for quite a number of years. LBD & Parkinson's are often found later in life, & there is a link to past substance abuse. He was a highly sensitive soul & a genius. Anyone who was truly friends with him, & most who worked with him said he was the kindest person they had ever known. A giver, not a taker. Devestating to see the destruction of such a beautiful human being. His eyes haunted me, as they were filled with sorrow along with the joy he created. Vale Robin.

I lost my mom to dementia Jan. '19. The worst part wasn't when she physically died. That was actually a relief that her physical suffering was over. The worst was watching the person that she was slowly fade away. The day she died, the chaplain at their retirement home was talking to my brother and I, and told us that it was okay to mourn her loss. My brother looked him in the eye and told him that we had already been mourning her loss as the woman that we knew as Mom had died years before and this was just the physical shell that was left. Sadly we lost my father 15 months later. She died 3 months before their 59th anniversary and I don't think he ever really recovered from that.

The victim-blaming mentality a lot of people have is, I think, a coping mechanism for dealing with how chaotic and unfair life is always gonna be. You can do everything right, you can treat literally everybody in your life compassionately and fairly, you can live life AS GOOD as you possibly can, and a drunk driver can still plow through you as you drive through an intersection... your daughter can still get brain cancer... you can still show up to work and get unexpectedly fired... your wife can still meet someone else and fall in love. Love Bobcat's relationship with Robin, and how heartfelt the conversation is. You can see he's hurting talking about it, but he seems much more 'real' to me having seen this. Sounds like a genuine, down-to-earth guy. Love him more for seeing this.

Worded beautifully- his brain was giving him misinformation. My mother died after 10 plus years of Lewy Body disease. Night seizures, ocd behaviours, hallucinations treated as Parkinson’s initially but eventually got diagnosis correct but little could be done with it. Absolutely grim.

I deal with a lot of aged care cases. If you're in your 50s, start thinking about aged care. Talk to friends and family about it because you want people to know what your wishes are before you lose mental capacity and end up somewhere you don't want to be.

I am so glad that this was talked about because suicide may be a terribly sad and wrong thing, but a "sin"?! Most people that do it are VERY ILL, even with "just" depression, which is also is a disease of like drug addiction. So, I love him, and if there is a heaven, he is there, if anyone is! I loved his career, he made so many people happy!

I appreciate Bobcat clarifying the reality of what Robin Williams was going through. It wasn't debt, divorce, or even depression. He survived, it seemed, much more successfully than others could have given his real illness.

I must confess I was heartbroken and emotionally devastated when Robin Williams died ⚰️. Literally could not hold back the tears💧. He was a comedic genius and extremely intelligent and naturally gifted. But above all a beautiful soul with a kind heart. When I hear people talking about Robin Williams or see videos 🎥of him I just feel so sad 😭😢😵😷that such a beautiful human being with extraordinary talent is gone. Nevertheless he will live on in our hearts and memories.

i lived with my grandmother for 4 years while she slowly mentally declined due to dementia. the day she died was both the saddest and most relieving moment of my life. by far the most unpleasant thing i could think to wish on someone or their family. if you haven't seen it yourself you honestly can't even imagine how soul-wrenching it is to experience first hand. you're just standing by, watching this person you love more than anything else in the world disappear before your eyes. it's slow and miserable and scary and makes you feel like you have no control over anything. i'm so happy Robin was able to provide so much value to this world in his short life, but it pains me so much to imagine what he was feeling for those last few years. he will be sorely missed.

Stop being divided people. Remember all divides are illusions. Black White, Christian Muslim, Religious Atheist, Right Wing Left Wing. Whatever "category" society puts you in. Don't allow it. On a whole we are all humanity, we are all earthlings. The minute we realize we are all being lied to and divided by the same group that wants to take over this world. That's when we start to take our freedoms back. We deep down have the power to change things. Only illusions in the Mainstream cabal funded media keeps us apart, they create the problem, we react and then they give a solution. Always more control for them. Willy Lamb Theres 1.5 billion of them so if 25% of them are radical as fuck, and yes that is a realistic estimate, if not higher, thats still 375 million retards willing to blow themselves up and take as many non believers with them as possible. I live in Europe and these people arent funny anymore and I think we get to draw a line at a certain amount of terrorist bullshit.

My Ex-Father In-law has Lewy Body and it has destroyed him. He was Diagnosed after Robin's Diagnosis and watching a man who had such an influence on my life, deteriorate to the point of being a shell of his former self, I understand Robin's decision. Terrible disease.

My favorite movie was Flubber when I was a kid. My parents took me to watch it in the theater. I was really sad when I heard of his depression and how he lost his battle. A great man who made a lot of people smile from all age ranges. Hug and cherish your loved ones and ask if they’re okay.

Robin Williams gave his time and probably his health in support of the military. Rest in peace. Victim of that disease.

You creeps make me want to puke! RW was a HUGE leftist, he hated the US, its military, anything that had to do with traditional values. To say he loved the military or that he gave up his health in support of the military makes me gag. It's a damned lie.
