Got the Bobcat back from Matejcek's Implement and it was an easier fix for now thanks to their honesty. Sounds like the joystick will need to be replaced over time but it's back up and running.

Thanks for the update sometimes people on KZbin show you something they're doing and never say see the finish

I run a 8 foot bucket. The machine will handle a 10 or 12 foot bucket easily enough but I clean parking lots with parked cars usually and an 8 ft bucket will clean a stall without ripping the mirrors off the cars in the way.

Bobcats are engineered to fail = keep buying them and the cycle continues. Go Cat.

You sure don't see many dealers that helpful. If not for the closed source computer interface they use, owners would be able to fix Bobcats themselves. For the life of me I cannot figure out why Bobcat buyers get the joysticks instead of the old reliable, simple mechanical lever and pedal system. Unless an operator has no use of his feet, the joystick system makes no sense to me.

chargermopar from what I've read guys like them because it's effortless to operate them if you're in them for all day. I like it for how easy it is to be precise.

Good point especially since I have never had a machine with the joystick configuration, I have no idea how it feels to run one. When I run any of my Bobcats all day I never really thought of it as requiring any real effort.. Still it makes me happy that you did not have to shell out over a thousand dollars to get your machine functioning again.

+hollamby75 No I have not had the opportunity to run any machine with the joysticks. Almost every one I owned has foot pedals but I have a Gehl with twist handles and no pedals other than the accessory feed. How would I get the chance to compare to joysticks? Anyone out there with joysticks needs a helper? If you need someone to work a skid steer in the field I am willing and able, but we know that's not likely to happen.

See if you can get a dealer to demo you one with the joysticks.
