Thanks for sharing. It is a pity you share what a skid steer loader can do and people looks for complaints about anything. I just got a second hand skid steee loader for small tasks in my plot, but I wanted to know if it can dig well in a reasonable time. Now I see it is not a big deal, of course slower than and excavator, but cheaper if you already own a bobcat.

Exactly. I own it, so I use what I have. Big excavators cost big money plus you have to spend some extra $$$$ for a cdl truck and trailer combo. I'll stick with my F-350 and 18' trailer. It works for me and allowed me to purchase a new Cat 259d3 in 2020. Hopefully those videos will be coming soon.

Very interesting work there. Well done. And now we know why we never ever buy used Bobcats.

How does this work differ from any other work you do with a machine? There bought to get beat up and do work. You probably have an old kubota tractor
@kenmarchbanks43012 жыл бұрын
@@dailyvideosfyp1 Not picking on the job or the machines. It was done quite professionally. No I don’t have a Kubota tractor. Sometimes I wish I did though. We have bobcats and use them a lot. Our E55 is a decent machine. Our new E60 is head and shoulders above the 55. Doosan showed Bobcat what an excavator is supposed to look like and how to build it. The depth check is pretty cool too. All work is good and all the guys who share what they do is great. I wish I was good at doing videos and publishing them on FB. We do some pretty cool stuff here in Alaska. We use our Laser Box w dual slope on out T740 quite a bit too. Also bail and load a lot of fill with our 350 Volvo and haul with old junk 10 wheelers. I hate trucks! They are a pain in the ass and would be glad to hire all of our trucking if there was anyone here to do it. Thanks for the comeback. Hope you are making it all work like you want.

I wonder: did they know they'd hit rock before they got there (by drilling core samples, or knowing the neighborhood)? I wonder how much of an impact that has on budget.
@danekathleenbrickley-easyd78764 жыл бұрын
yes it can cost a lot more . u can drill first but that cost money too.
@77Avadon774 жыл бұрын
I hope you're kidding right? That has an enormous impact on excavation. Anytime you start using an excavator to do hydraulic hammering the cost is going to go up staggering
@glp19883 жыл бұрын
We had a feeling we would hit rock but it becomes a t&m charge once we hit solid rock.

What was the total time-frame for this?
@matthewvanbenschoten4454 жыл бұрын
It looks like a long time. Unless you had a lot of time and cheap access to a skid steer, renting an excavator for a day or two would get most of it done and then switch to the Bobcat would be more efficient.

MTH Power Wash LLC that’s my point he’s using a skid steer for something that should’ve been done much quicker and easier with an excavator. Hence my point he lost his butt on this one messing around with a skid steer when it could’ve been done easier and better with an ex.

Should have used the mini excavator to begin with. Would have sped up the initial excavation. I can totally see using the skid steer to remove excavated material. But to lean on just that one piece of equipment is asking for failure. Hitting rock would have definitely changed things. If this was a contractor job, the cost of the project just doubled if not tripled.
