Gutter Pipe was buried. The site was graded. Gravel was spread. Scars were etched, mistakes were made...Final product-not too bad. #barn #deeraddiction #polebarn #bobcat @BobcatCo #lakeeriechestnuts

Now I have to keep myself from buying one - I'd get lots of practice that way - haha!

@@johnsangl They are a very handy machine, and can be used for alot of different jobs. I rent Bobcat skidsteers usually for a week to get projects done, great machines but very expensive to own and operate. A good Tractor with loader works for me for 80 percent of the work on my farm. The other 20 percent I'll rent a Bobcat for a week. 👍🏻

I am impressed John first time on a skid stir and all the porch posts are still in place

Haha! No one is as surprised as I am!!

I previously mentioned about laying perforated pipe but that was with the impression of having no gutter system and shedding off roof directly to the ground so I think this method is a fine Job nothing to be ashamed of & your use of the skid steer showed a clean trench, very cool 👍🏻

I might still do a perforated pipe at some point, but I'm going to see how the gutter/4" pipe works first.

Very cool video! I love it, even with the frustrations of problems that arise. Thanks for leaving some of your frustration reaction in the video...exiting the bobcat with attitude! After the crash....we've all been there! Me more than others...I'm like .. welp, I'm not the only one ...Made me smile on your progress and the school winning! 😊

Hilarious - I was definitely in a brief foul mood. It was fun learning/operating something new though.

Man, great job! Im a doc and have no time either-always rushing my projects at my place-could have an entire you tube channel on just my bloopers! I never had any training or someone to show me how to do this stuff, so I am always learning, and learn quite a bit from your channel. Appreciate the time you put in on filming and editing.

Thanks Doc! It is definitely painful to share my stupidity, but I'm just sharing the process and maybe someone will avoid something stupid in the future.

Good looking job. But looking at the pipe i expect it's too small to handle the amount of water a good rain will generate.

We shall see! The best part of all of this --> none of it is permanent!

@@johnsangl It should be easy to figure. Take the square footage of the barn then google how many gallons of rain will say 1/2 inch of rain will generate then check the flow rates of the diameter of the pipe. My 2 cents
@johnsangl5 ай бұрын
I get the following: 1" of rain will produce ~1595 Gallons of watershed. 4" pipe average flow rate is 3,400 gallons per minute. I think I should be good.
