Bobcat ZS4000 100 hour Review

Bobcat comes from a stellar history manufacturing skid steers - they set the industry standard. Looks like they carry that 'beast' mentality of their skid steers over to their mowers. Hitting that root is testament to that fact for sure! I've never seen any of their mowers first hand in my area though we do have a Bobcat dealer about 20 miles west of my town. Scag, Toro and JD are the most popular in our area, we have a couple large dealers for all three within a 15 mile radius. Looks like you've hit a home run with your choice, nothing beats a contractor pleased with his equipment! Thanks Jason - great review. I'm a solo operator "down under" & have a ZT2000 with 270 hr's on it. It's a great little mower (a tank) & done some really tough/rough properties, as well as some nice yards. Cut quality is excellent. I can't speak highly enough about it. I change the oil & filters every 50 hr's and replace the blades every 100 hr's. No problems with spindles or anything else. Cheers.

Haven't heard much about the smaller mowers but if they are anywhere close to the bigger commercial mowers then you definitely have a good machine

My son is 17 and getting real serious about his lawncare business. He loves the Bobcat stand-on he runs a Toro and a Husqvarna now. He probably will get a Bobcat sooner or later. He has demoed one a that set him on fire 🔥 LOL. Keep up your videos.

I believe they have one for the zero turns mowers but not for the stand ons. As per my dealer Bobcat will be releasing several new mower/mower products over the next year or so

Hey boss man, around 15:11 when you panned the bobcat, I noticed one thing on there and that's your fuel filter. Is that filter the right way? People tend to install those backwards and on two different mowers including the Lesco I have, they were installed upside down. Check that filter, if the arrow on it is pointing at your tank, flip it around. A lot of your surging is 9-10 from that but of course get them free replacements! lol

It's storming here right now but I'll definitely go look at it to make sure. That's a filter I put on it though and had trouble with both. Fuel isn't getting to it.

my ferris new had a problem with it running out of gas 3/4 full the pickup hose wasn't authentic bottom of the tank I fixed it myself was easy. might be same issue with yours

Bobcat nor my dealer were any help with my situation and that also put a bad taste in my mouth. I was going with Scag until I demoed Bobcat. I'll be doing a 500hr review soon on both my stand ons and I'm glad I went the route I did.

@moline800hdyup4 the main reason I was going with scag was the cut quality and speed. The Bobcat cuts just as good in most grass and actually cuts better in bahia. It was the only mower I found that in my opinion was better.

Keep it greased up, put some never seize on the bolts for the spindle covers, and keep the deck blown off and you should be good with just basic maintenance. Thanks for watching!

Mines been cutting patchy lately , replaced the blades, did my routine check like wheels and air pressure . Have you had any issues with the leveling of the machine?

I haven't had any issues but I would check the level on the deck. Also look to make sure the chains that the deck hang from are tight in transport and when lowered to cut. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

All my Exmarks have sealed bearings I never had any issue with a spendle never greased any of them. One Machine has 3100 hours on it the other machine has 2000 hours Never one spendle issue. My skag has more grease points than I even know about

@@AmericanLawnSpecialists they have come a long ways in that area in the last 5 -10 years- if grease cant get out then trash cant get in. if grease can get in then so can trash is what my mechanic used to say

I would recommend a stand on unless you are mowing very large acreage properties. Then the right sit down can be better.
