I guess different companies have different operating guidelines. The Cat video I watched stated that for their 3 ton mini excavator (similar to this one) - the blade must be at the rear when ascending a slope or digging.

The excavator is probably a good machine. The website is available to sell me any information that I want. This video is, in effect, a commercial for the website to sell a subscription. I am renting an excavator for 1 day and I don't have any need of that.

Kubota won’t start with arm down prettty sure bobcat is same. Arm is up machine starts then put arm down to operate.
