Thank you, we've enjoyed visiting these places, at least in these troubled times, they are much quieter.

I wonder what "AGB 1887" must have used to carve their initials so deeply into the stonework of the building and how long it would have taken? I sometimes think if I won the Euro lottery I might help to get the roof back on and restore it
@BobEarnshawMoHo4 жыл бұрын
I suppose if it was restored it would end up as a posh spa hotel or something and we'd never see the inside of it!

A very enjoyable tour. I think English Heritage are best if you have a dog plus I don't agree with the National Trusts new policies.

Koby The Campervan we have recently cancelled our membership because we feel it has become a politicised organisation with ‘right on’ views that we don’t concur with, is that your view ?

Mansfield Park.. is said to be inspired by Lord justice Mansfield ( william Murray 1st Earl of Mansfield) Jane Austen actually met Lord Mansfield Grand Niece Lady Elizabeth Murray several times, she lived in her husband George Finch Hatton 2 estate, you guessed it Eastwell Park and Kirby Hall before it fell into ruins, George actually refurbished and refurnished it into snuff before giving it to his son the future Earl of Winchilsea. Lady Elizabeth Murray's father was David Murray the future 2nd Earl of Manfield. she previously live at Kenwood with 1st Lord Mansfield with the famous Black aristocrat Dido Belle
