The song is so deep, I first came to know this song in my late twenties over thirty years ago and yet today many years later the song still put me in a different mood. Those were the good old days. The instrumentals by both Bob James, David Sanborn, and Marcus Miller blend so well with the vocal maturity of Al Jarreau.

Saddened by the passing of Mr. Sanborn. A very accomplished, soulful jazzy sax player. He said he was quote 'coming out of the blues/R&B side of the spectrum', Whichever it was, he appealed to my ears and sensibilities. Sympathies to his family and fans. One love.

Dear Fans of these great musicians. Do you realize that all of them as well all of Us Fans are “Baby Boomers”! As we sadly pass into eternity there is no new generation of musicians that are so skilled and so passionate for this beautiful blend of jazz music!!!! San Diego was most of these musicians favorite place to play during summer months at “Humphries By the Bay”…. I am 62 and really just sad that this is a passing generation and the music is also passing with them. Embrace the recordings while we can and teach your Grandchildren in hopes that they will find pleasure in this music as we did…… Dear David Sanborn your life was meaningful to many of Us. RIP Friend….

You are so right, I'm in my late 60's and I also feel sad that younger generations do not appreciate this wonderful music...when I listen to what's popular today, it all sounds the same to my ears. I'm very grateful having grown up when I did and I even enjoyed some of my parents music from the 50's...Jazz is especially wonderful, there are so many different kinds of it and the musicians who play it.
