I read the more rounded Shuttlecraft was designed by Andrew Probert who also designed the Enterprise D. But because of the rounded corners it was too difficult to build with the budget they had. So they made a smaller shuttlecraft and squared off the panels to make easier to build.

I am going to add the Eaglemoss NX-01 Enterprise XL model to my display as they are both approximately the same scale of 1:1000, I thought it would look really cool to see the difference in size from the very first Enterprise to the D.

Love the shuttle idea what about adding the uss defiant from the eaglemoss collection,or even a runabout as we know in one episode Picard and a few other crew members were on one returning to the enterprise,what scale was the defiant compared to the enterprise D

i think it could be a bit full with these models, but a runabout could be added later.

@@R_T_Ralph I had a Quick Look on size comparison and the standard size eaglemoss defiant is quite close to scale with a galaxy class so I might have that option of course I could go in the opposite direction if I get another stand and build a Borg cube lol,will be uploading an updated video over the weekend with updates on my stand etc that diffusing kit you recommended is spot on with the multi programmable lights I installed in it a friend suggested making a page with all the bits required incase others wanted to copy or do similar with there ship

@@R_T_Ralph yeah I’ve got the diy out the way plus as we now have a puppy running round I’ve had to cable tidy and trunk all my display case wiring for my transformers and the led lights on the table as he’s at that chew anything stage lol,waiting on issue 9 but had issue 13 and 24 arrive this week so saucer top almost complete as well as cobra neck then I’ll have the 1st and 2nd pcb to install and wire up won’t screw pcb 2 down until the bridge section is ready to be installed fully,it feels like it’s all go once issue 9 arrives,have also been charged for issue 15 which is where I believe we go underneath with the lower skeleton looking forward to that,can’t film any videos right now as have 2 screaming toddlers lol 😂

Was never a fan of the Type 15 shuttlepod from TNG. Absolutely loved both the other types, especially the larger shuttle from the first season with the wraparound window and the front entry door.
