I don't know, I particularly enjoy the fact that the episodes vary from the characters viewpoints. The episode about Linda finding a new job, Louise with her science project, Gene's baseball fiasco, Tina's decision to take a boy to the dance, and Bob's retreatment to the burger convention all have conflicting issues within them that creates a more equalized exposure than that of one who solely focuses on either the children , parents, or one entity. That is what I would deem as successful.
