This franchise has taught me many things over the years: 1. Squirrels Lives Matter 2. Royals don’t have kingdoms to rule over 3. Lying to the public is perfectly okay 4. You can just adopt a kid by saying so 5. A marriage that was made so kingdoms would be United does nothing when the kings and queens don’t retire 6. Rats are the devil 7. Children can be trusted with all responsibility 8. Squirrel ghosts and bad 3D grog monsters will haunt you forever 9. “What else is there?”

Writers: so Disney's latest trope is the twist villain, so I think we should do that. We also should think of the subject for the inspirational song. I saw the book of Mormon the other day, and they did a song about manning up. Hey that's a good idea!

@carsfan19953 жыл бұрын
Grace Amodeo Yeah I think this movie came out in 2018. If you want to blame the person behind the Twist Villain that Disney did than its probably not a coincidence that the trend stopped after he left. Yes, the Surprised Disney Villain trend of the 2010s was thanks to John Lasseter. I remember when watching the Cars 2 commentary that he and writers worked backwards in setting up the twist villain and Lasseter seems really proud of it that he had that four Wreck It Ralph (2012), Frozen (2013), Big Hero 6 (2014), Zootopia (2016), Moana (2016), Coco (2017), and Incredibles 2 (2018). I remember people were speculating who the surprise villain would be for Wreck It Ralph 2 and how surprised they were when there wasn't one.
@ARCtheCartoonMaster3 жыл бұрын
@@carsfan1995 It doesn’t surprise me, given two of the earlier Pixar movies ( _Toy Story 2_ and _Monsters, Inc._ ) also had twist villains. And I *guess* the first _Incredibles_ technically had one as well, but he was revealed more at the halfway point of the movie.
@morganyoung35573 жыл бұрын

Also geez, imagine how tired Odette the prince are that Queen Uberta does not keel over even after 8 movies. She is like some undead monarch, content to rule forever! Truly these are the new Land Before Time/Alpha and Omega movies. I wonder for how long can they go on. GeeeZ, the mark of Zorro keeps appearing on everyone? And they really just recycled the last villain's design for this?

13:13 You know Lego has TV show for it's Ninjago range, and ghosts play a large part in one of the seasons; in that show Ghosts can't move through water; because it's not solid or empty; that was actually kind of clever and somewhat made sense/was well used by the narative (Putting one of the characters who got turned into a ghost in danger, the water stone weapons they used and intrudcing one of the characters as the elemental master of water) Ghosts not being able to move through glass for the sake of one joke is friggin' stupid.

Okay. I admit when I was a kid, I came up with silly ideas for Fox & The Hound sequels. The least embarrassing is probably the one about one thing leads to another, Chief & Tod are lost & need to find their way back, & haft to work together. At the same time, Vixy & Copper decide to work together to find them, along with the humans & birds giving supporting roles. The one that's most embarrassing is the one about them dealing with the Carnotaurus from Disney's Dinosaur. Why? Because I was a silly kid. But after finding out Fox & The Hound was directed by the same guy who worked on all these Swan Princess sequels, as well as those Alpha & Omega movies, I wouldn't be surprised one bit if he'd actually made either of those real movies.

Creepy old king dude is... painting selfies? He is a few centuries before his age. Also, that cat can talk and is a good guy now? Last movie didn't he work with the villain's ghost? Also, when did the squirrel guy die? Maybe there was a review I missed? Your last Swan Princess review I saw was Royally Undercover.
@scottgaultney3 жыл бұрын
If you saw the Royally Undercover review (provided he mentioned it, as I'm not a patreon but did watch another review video of it), then you'd know that No. 9 (Jasper) went good in that movie when he's revealed to be the missing pet of the old king dude. And the squirrel guy died in A Royal Family Tale where Alise was introduced, which is the fifth movie in this franchise. That puts it after Christmas where the cat worked with Rothbart's ghost to destroy Christmas but before Princess Tomorrow, Pirate Today where Alise became a pirate with Rodgers to escape Queen Uberta's Princess Boot Camp and yoga pants, then got shipwrecked on the Bog's island where Rodgers hosted a parody of Hell's Kitchen that involved him teaching the Bogs how to cook him. You know, when you say write it out, this franchise seems kind of stupid.

With names like “Odette” and “Alise”, I think this franchise should at least be part of France. Anyway, why Richard Rich? Why? You’re buddies with Don Bluth for crying out loud! Not to mention we’re better works than this; “Animated Stories From The Bible”, “Animated Stories From The New Testament”, and “Animated Hero Classics”.
